My take on Claudia is that she is a very good representation of a victim of familial abuse and neglect. From the beginning she is a victim: turned into a vampire in an act of violence that renders her a perpetual child. She will forever be dependent on unstable and toxic vampires.
She is quickly stuck in a toxic family dynamic where she is abused by one parent and neglected by the other. She fights like hell to be free.
Once she is finally free, she just ends up back in the same dynamic when Louis dates Armand. No matter how loudly she speaks up, Louis doesn't take her concerns seriously. Nobody takes her seriously because she is a child, and she always will be.
Every vampire she ever met hurt her. Until she met Madeleine and had her turned. But then her and Madeleine are both executed.
And she never even gets to speak out on her own, as every time we hear from her, she is being filtered through the perspective of one of her guardians. Once again, her voice does not get taken seriously because she is a child.
Even now, Loustat resurrect her to heal their own emotional wounds rather than help her. She was a bandaid on a shitty marriage. She is not given agency. She has no voice. Even in death, a child and a victim.
