Literally the first time I've seen "no views" under a video and of course it was for one of my favourite podcasts "It Was A Sh*t Show"
Not sure how much of an overlap there is between Sh*t Show listeners and tumblr users so I'm gonna shill for it here. It's very good. Rare combination of both hilarious and very well researched.
I love reading Wikipedia articles. This is one of the sentences of all time.
just wanted to get the last colourful screw and this happened.
Here's a pro Poké-tip for those who want to get the most out of Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Every time you collect a tiny mushroom you can sing "hold me closer tiny mushroom" to the tune of Elton John's Tiny Dancer. No one can stop you from doing this.
Why did no one tell me MAWS Superman was voiced by Jack Quaid???
I wanna meet whoever saw Boimler and went "that's Clark Kent" and give them $100
Saw a pretty ableist sketch on TikTok about Helen Keller and thought that the algorithm had fucked up and put some right wing comedian on my page but, like, the top comment has a trans pride flag in their name because, no, what had actually happened is that a lot of otherwise progressive people have agreed that hateful, bigoted jokes are fine if it's about Helen Keller. People act like you can comment "We're going to hell aren't we 🫢🫢🫢" and you don't actually have to feel any guilt at all for joining in on the belittling and dehumanization.
And, to be clear, I expect this behaviour from a lot of people. That doesn't make it fine (being expected doesn't excuse it) but I wouldn't be motivated to post about it. It's people who should know better, who would claim to be better and wouldn't put up with it if it was other minorities. The hypocrisy of it just makes it suck to see in a really depressing way, emotionally.
Ever since seeing Superman the line "You can hear it too if you're sincere" has latched into my brain like a parasite. I've literally thought about it every day for, like, a month.
Also, those lyrics in the context of Superman reminds me of Lex's defeat at the end of All-Star Superman. He's forced to "hear it too".
Or maybe Superman broke my brain and I'm making up nonsense patterns, hard to tell.

Something I haven't seen people talk about with Superman is that "secret harem" stuff. When I first heard it I felt it was really out of place, a pretty weird joke for this movie with this tone but thinking about after I think I realise why it was there.
The movie is deliberately, according to Gunn, the story of an immigrant (I have thoughts about how that gets muddled by other messages in the film but not being an immigrant myself I wanna make sure those thoughts aren't themselves problematic before writing anything) and a big, very fucked up part of real world anti-immigrant rhetoric—and a lot of racist rhetoric more generally—is that they're "coming for your women", that they're "replacing" a population not just through migration but breeding as well and that's what Lex is evoking in his interview. And of course the person that repeats the accusation to Superman is Guy Gardner, a literal cop.
There might be something to be said about how the phrasing or wording of it in this way is a bit of a weird way to convey this idea but, also, tbf to the movie, Superman is one guy so when a character applies that sort of large scale "great replacement" idea into him that's just kinda what you get.

The primary message of the new superman movie is that killing is always wrong except for netanyahu, who it's ok to turn into pavement jam.
I received these scam emails that were trying to get my to click on malicious links and they had real sign offs from legit business to, I guess, try and seem more legit but because they kept using different ones it made it look more fake.
Thing is, one of the endings was from a relatively small tech company in Sweden which did not to me as particularly sad. Like, a kinda minor but still international clothing company is one thing but I just feel bad for these Swedes doing digital management solutions or software based consultancy or whatever who've had their company office's physical address sent out attached to a scam email.
I kinda want to email them to tell them but it would just be "hey man, this thing happened. Really sucks for you probably. and there's probably nothing you can do about it. Bye."
I'll buy them a round of coffee if I'm even in Gothenburg I guess.
Whenever i'm traveling in England i like to zoom really close in and look for small towns and villages because the names are always such wild nonsense, so I say this having seen the worst english place names can throw at me: What the fuck is going on in Leicestershire?
Why are you doing this?? Why not go with "in" or "under" or "upon"??
Now, I have heard of other towns with French connectors but you won't convince me "juxta" isn't used just to be all fancy sounding and special.
After listening to almost every episode twice over, I finally had a dream about MBMBaM. They had Ashton Kutcher on as a guest and he pissed the boys off so they spent the entire episode roasting him to his face
Actually pretty apropos given Sydnee and Justin's first podcast was "Losing the Sheen" a podcast where they watch and talk about the seasons of Two And A Half Men from after Charlie Sheen was fired having never seen any of the previous episodes (though iirc it's lost media and isn't available to listen to anymore)
Just got out of an advanced theatrical screening of the Doctor Who finale and I absolutely loved it.
You'd think with all the threads already set up there'd be no time to reveal that the Meddling Monk is a clone of the Valeyard who himself is a secret child of Susan and the Vlinx but I think the Vlinx's vows to Susan during the fake wedding to fool The Trickster were so heartwarming it was worth it.
Personally, I think a fully CGI model of a young David Tennant was a disappointing choice for the 16th Doctor but it ended on a high with that end credits scene when Gugu Mbatha-Raw showed up as her character from Loki and said "We need to talk. About the war. The war between the land and the sea." then Deadpool, who showed up with her, did a big fart. It was hilarious. The audience gave it a 90 minute standing ovation.
tbf you could say this about any modern show-runner i'm just really feeling this right now
People give a lot of flack to The Beatles for that "bigger than Jesus" thing. I don't think it's fair to judge them against Jesus's modern fanbase because they've had thousands of years to grow and The Beatles haven't had that yet.
And if you go by how many followers Jesus had when he was alive The Beatles had way more. They were right. Probably still the case even when you use percentage of the total global population.
