my spn hot take is that victor henriksen is thee most wasted character in the entire series. like i know i made that post years ago but i still fully believe that. like. let’s discuss this objectively. you have a fucking fbi agent who is trying sososo hard to catch the winchesters. for like at least a season. and then he finally gets irrevocable proof that supernatural stuff is real. and he IMMEDIATELY FLIPS THE SCRIPT. he’s like oh shit. these guys are right. let’s listen to these guys. that’s fascinating. there’s soooo much you can do with that. being a crowstiel enjoyer is about licking on the floor for crumbs but I do genuinely have some feelings about Cas apologetic little "I thought it would have been you" when it comes to the question of who Rowena loves.

it’s about like. Here is a character who is unloved and unlovable and tormented by that fact, his own mother does not love him and never did, and the entire like purpose of the Oskar reveal is that it proves that this is not because she was incapable of loving but only because she was incapable of loving him.

And then you have another character look at him and go “Well of course she should love you, it never occurred to me that she wouldn’t” and I’m not supposed to feel some sort of way about that.

Of course this is severely undercut by whomever Rowena loves needing to be sacrificed for the spell so Castiel is absolutely volunteering Crowley to die here no questions asked but that’s just like. That’s the flavour. That’s the spice. Cas thinks Crowley is worthy of love and also wants to kill him they contain multitudes.
