My first attempt at an hc edit of a twisted wonderland character.
The only thing I changed was a the skin and stuff. Kept it relatively simple.
I carefully colored in the skin on a separate layer above the original image, and tested out the different blending settings until I liked how it looked (I settled on multiply).
Then I made another layer above the multiply layer, and outlined the location and shape of his lips before settling on the final lip colors.
Voilà! I’m done.
I looked at Sam for reference, but I really like the look of a darker top lip and lighter bottom lip, so I took some creative liberties there.

You peaked outside looking every which way for your boyfriend. He had gone out to take care of his animals and make sure everything was okay with them. You watched intently, out into the vast tree line. You see a deer pass by and give it a friendly wave. It bowed its head towards you in acknowledgement before running off back into the trees.
You eventually perk up when you see your boyfriend walking through the trees. You give a little squeal and practically throw yourself at him. He catches you a little surprised, his eyebrows raised up as he looks at you. He smiles a little amused though, always softening up for you. He carries you inside, hands around your under thighs. Your arms are wrapped around his neck, head on his shoulder. You gently swing your feet, as he walks into his newly added kitchen. Noticing this you hum wiggling around a little in his arms.
“Hmmm, I think we should cuddle first.” He raises a brow this time in confusion.
“Don’t you have to eat soon? Don’t humans have like a…food clock?” You tilted your head back letting out a loud laugh before nodding.
“Technically yeah…but, I can hold out a little longer. You’ve been gone for so long I got lonely.~” You playfully pouted before continuing. “Plus you know…do it for the animals or something.” At that Quinque let out a laugh shaking his head at his partner’s antics. He kisses the top of your head making his way now to your shared room.
“Alright, just let me know when you’re hungry.” You just nod in reply, cuddling into his chest enjoying your alone time with your boyfriend.
