Yesterday while I was in a club I made out with a girl and now I'm kind of feeling some sort of lingering sense of guilt. I don't know if that's because of internalized homophobia or just because I made out with a stranger and now she's added me on Facebook and I'm a bit worried she'll message me and want to see me again and that makes me anxious. Sorry I know that's not a very rational message but I'm confused right now

hey friend i’m sorry you’re feeling anxious! internalized homophobia is really difficult and it’s a process to work through, but i promise you that you have no reason to feel guilty. you were at a club and had some fun and made out with someone. people do it all the time and i promise you did nothing wrong. and if you don’t feel completely comfortable with the situation and don’t want to see that woman again, I would just be upfront honest with her! you owe yourself that much. i wish you the best of luck and i hope that you’re able to work through some of these feelings. <3

Any!! But a girl can dream. God shes just so cute. The one thing that keeps me from coming out to a trusted friend tho issss im afraid im just...wrong. Hello! I’m sorry you’re feeling this way! If I’m being completely straight (lol) with you, I used to have a lot of doubts about my attraction to girls as well as whether or not it was sinful as well. I also go to a catholic high school, although in my experience it’s crawling with gays so you never know, that girl from crew very well may be gay! fingers crossed lol

also, coming from the perspective of someone who used to be Catholic and who still considers herself to be Christian, I know that it can be hard to work through that internalized homophobia. The Catholic Church does a very effective job in instilling that fear into the hearts of its LGBT+ followers. unfortunately, there is no 100% foolproof or step-by-step guide to overcoming those feelings. my best advice is to reach out to other religious LGBTQ+ people. (there are many of us!!) I know in my heart that my God still loves me for who I am, and that God made me a lesbian for a reason, but it took me a while to get to that place. I hope that you are someday also able to come to similar conclusions, because I promise you that God loves you so much, and God made you bisexual for a reason. your sexuality is a gift, and you should celebrate it.

lastly, if you feel in your heart that you are attracted to girls, then you are attracted to girls. enough said. if you change your mind later on, that’s perfectly fine. what matters most is being true to who you feel you are right now. if it changes, who cares? i came out to essentially my entire school as bisexual, only to discover about a year later that I’m a lesbian. but that doesn’t mean that the way I identified before was any less valid, or that I regret identifying and coming out as bisexual. as long as you live as authentically as you can, I promise you will feel no regrets. that being said, you should never feel pressured to come out, and I wouldn’t recommend doing that until you feel completely comfortable with who you are. take time to become comfortable and secure in your identity before who actually come out. trust me, it will make the entire experience so much easier.

absolutely!! if you feel comfortable calling yourself a lesbian, then that’s 100% fine. lesbian identity isn’t as cut and dry as some terfs would like to believe it is. trans* and non-binary lesbians exist, so i don’t see why someone who mostly identifies with being a woman couldn’t call themself a lesbian. if it makes you happy, go for it :)
