I would have loved Sasha to win, bus alas it was not meant to be. Congrats to both girls, because they both only did the best they could, the rest was really up to the judges to decide 😭

No one can take away her historic feat tho! The first woman to make a 5 quad program in history! One of the few people in the world who can do so many quads. This girl’s achievements are unbelievable and no one will take them away from her.

Dude, why y’all acting like Sasha crying and screaming is “wrong” or “unsportsmanlike” or that she has a diva or entitled attitude?

Have y’all seen any soccer teams when they lose? Those are big full grown ass men crying their balls out and raging because they lost.

It’s not about being entitled to win. It’s about the disappointment of having worked your body to the limit and still falling short.

And for Sasha is 3 years of feeling like she falls short and many years of an abusive environment that does not appreciate anything but winning.

Comments like Adam Rippon’s are really what I hate about social media. People thinking they fucking know everything when they are hypocrites. Seeing one teenager and saying “oh let’s help her, she’s a victim of abuse” and then seen another one acting like a victim of abuse and say “well, her attitude is as bad as her skating”. I don't understand how Adam Rippon can point out how Kamila is a victim of exploitation and abuse, and then turn around and say 'her attitude is as bad as her skating' about Sasha, who is also a victim of the same abuse. Use your brain cells, Adam. God.

Ok, a lot of people have been harassing this girl for the past week. Telling her that she doesn’t deserve to be there, that no one wants her there and that they’re only trying to take away what may be her only chance at going to the Olympics “for her own good”.

The harass a child so openly without taking into account (or worse, perhaps knowing) that she has access to social media everyday and would have to be deaf and blind no to notice everything they say about her, and that she is the face of every fucking article the media published when her case should have been handled in private.

So now after harassing her and adding to the mental trauma she already has, you are surprised that she absolutely bombed her free skate. I see theories flying that she is drugged or that they told her to bomb or whatever the hell people like to invent these days. But is it so surprising really that after all the pressure she’s been put under just by being the rising start, she can’t keep it together when on top of that she becomes the face of a doping scandal at 15? Do y’all forget Zagitova at Worlds 2018? These girls seem invincible but they are young and human.

And the fact that you all go “yes, you see? That’s why she should have gone home! She bombed!” You really are unbelievable. I have no words.

I hope you’re all happy pretending you and the media didn’t played any part in creating this circus, and I hope you can all pretend that you had no part in why that young girl broke down today.

Ok so I wasn’t supposed to do anymore of these, but I’ve been rewatching Sasha’s SP because why not, and something that I didn’t notice while watching live is the beading. So today in FS and Fashion we submit a late entry about The Frida Dress.

Ok so it’s not a secret that she has had 3 different dresses for the SP and my favourite was actually the second she used (yeah, the one apparently no one likes) because I love the design of the neck and shoulders, I loved it so much that now I’m realising I missed everything else.

Guys I was biased against the design of the third dress, because I didn’t like the belt and the V neck that looks like a halter with a mesh underneath.

But!

This dress has actually like 4 different colours, the bright red is contrasting with a mix of black, blue and purple beading. And it’s like really smart because although you would think the best shade to create a shadow or a contrast would be black, to use a colour opposite in the colour wheel actually creates a much richer dynamic. And adding those little sprinkles of blue that are not that far off from the violet makes it even prettier.

Extra points for smart colour management, and double extra because we were unprofessional and ignored it while watching live 😭

You know I hate corrupt judges and organisations as much as the next person. But I also hate media so much. This whole thing about Kamila doping was supposed to be dealt with behind closed doors because the girl is 15. Now her name is everywhere, the results of her analysis are everywhere.

So after leaking her name, without considering that any problem concerning a minor always leaves the minors’ face and actual name out of it, and making this whole thing blow up exponentially, there were people asking for the maximum punishment for an abused child since “this case was so big”.

I know people around her must be punished and personally I wouldn’t have let her skate, but some people are forgetting that the rules you’re quoting so much actually say that Kamila can receive a reprimand and that’s it.

With how damaged her image is now that this “woke reporters” leaked even her urine test results, I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide that enough damage has been done and just apply the reprimand, because it really gives them the perfect opportunity.

Like yeah it makes me mad that an athlete that dopes competes with clean athletes. But this is not as simple as that, this is a child brought up by a system that promotes child endangerment. This is not only about Kamila, is about the organisations that allow these loopholes to exist. They are the ones who deserve our scrutiny (them and Kamila’s coaching team), not the 15 year old who has as much power in deciding her scores as she does in controlling what goes into her own body.

Y’all am I blind? I thought Sasha’s program was really nice, it had nice steps, decent coverage and good interpretation. I’ve seen people saying she skates from jump to jump, but she does have some nice transitions…

Is this bc of the doping situation? I swear to god. That girl has improved MILES, like she actually gave us some face today! That had never happened before!

Yeah I know Wakaba was underscored in PCS, but it doesn’t mean that Sasha’s SS have not improved or that she sucks man.
