Saying a lot is not the same as saying something.
I’m not saying that Laura Loomer is Billy the Puppet from the Saw franchise. I’m just saying that I’ve never seen them together, in the same place, at the same time. For what it’s worth. I can say the same thing about Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Alice the Goon from Popeye. I’m not trying to spread any misinformation, just an observation.
SWV vs Xscape
SWV > Xscape
I see SWV & Xscape have a joint reality tv show coming out. I get it, everyone is trying to get their bag. However, in my humble opinion, they’re not even in the same category. At best, Xscape sounds like a really good high school talent show performance. Whereas SWV had that R&B & Hip-Hop mix that the 90s were so good at delivering. Even hardcore Hip-Hop heads dug them. I won’t even mention the Biggie line that he said about Xscape. Google it if you’re curious, haven’t heard, or have forgotten it. In my ignorant, semi-misogynistic youth I thought it was hilarious. Now, when I look back on it, I wonder how they felt about it. I wonder if they turned off Biggie songs when they came on the radio, or if they stopped dancing when they were at the club and the DJ played “Mo Money, Mo Problems’ or ‘Notorious Thugs’. Anyway, besides SWV being dope, they were one of the first R&B groups that I remember sampling other artists when they had a mashup with the King of Pop Michael Jackson’s ‘Human Nature’. With all that being said I’m sure I’ll watch for pure nostalgia. I’m also a sucker for reality shows, the worse the better see Bad Girls Club, Party Down South, and either one of the shore shows that MTV gave us.
Birthday Boys > Kids in the Hall
As I peruse Pluto TV's Reality TV section I stop on one of my favorite guilty pleasures 'America's Next Top Model'. Yeah, I said 'America's Next Top Model'. Don't hate me, get you a man that can do both. Although I'm a vegetarian I dig watching pigskins fly through the air on Saturdays & Sundays. Well, that was before Colin Kaepernick got blackballed, but that's a different story for another time. I still watch but I'm not as rabid as I once was. With all that being said, it still drives me nuts that they use 'Tyra Mail' instead of 'T-mail'. I mean, it's literally an 80 MPH fastball just hanging over the plate. A home run. It's derived from email, it was there for the taking. Geez.
Plug 2 was one of the most influential cats in my life as a youth & I never met him. Had the chance to see him perform once & it was live. He taught me to read and write between the lines and be Me, Myself & I.
Yeah, you.
