I had some spare time to play with Houdini pyro system. I followed some tuts and made some RnD, as seen below. After some experimenting I made my first explosion inside Houdini with Pyro. The main source for this experiment stuff is the great course, Applied Houdini from Steven Knipping. It is really helpfull since I’m making some volcanic eruption for work recently.
A main turbulance drive the main shape of the explosion, an additional velocity volume sourced into the sim, for the initial bursts. Used a shred for chaos of course! ;) And a bunch of custom disturbance for disturb the leading edges.
I did initialy some test with divergence.
