“O dios mio! No. It’s the good kind of spice with a little bit of a punch in the throat, I’m kidding about the punch but no it’s actually the great kind of spice with a strong kick to it. You did – I’m sorry. Our kind and yours - there shouldn’t even be a different kind. We are people are we not. Still I’m sorry to hear that.” Teo apologized even though he had no hand in banishing their parents and making them grow up in that sort of life. Chuckling though at Fleur’s comment he nodded his head. They had skimped but surely the parties would get better “Pleasure is all mine, Fleur. You’ll figure out the grass is the same color of green here as it is anywhere.”

‘ oh, merci, that makes much more sense. i’d love to try it, then -- just to make sure it’s really as good as you say it is. i know, but sadly, there is. i’d never try to excuse my mother’s actions, but still, i’d like to think i’m a rather pleasant person to be around. no need to be sorry, though. none of it is your fault. ’ fleur shrugs, a small smile making its way onto their face. ‘ is it? i like it here so far. it’s a lot brighter, less depressing. plus if all the parties are like this then there’s no reason not to love it. ’

Smiling to the person beside him, Teo bowed his head respectfully giving a little nod before chuckling. The food he had seen that’d been snatched away from him it had been minuscule. “I assume so… If it was I’ll trade you meals at lunch whenever we have parents day. My mother makes the best south-auradonian food ever. Very spicy - you might spit flame possibly if you’re not used to that type of cuisine… Personally I think it’s cause they’d rather not spend the money and go all out which is horrible of them. fleur giggles a bit at his bow, his words too. ‘ i’d like to take you up on that offer, but i’m not even sure our parents would be allowed here. they don’t wanna break the barriers for the villains. spicy? i like spicy. though i have to ask, is it good spicy, or is it, ‘ this isn’t even good, my mouth just hurts and i want to die’ spicy? we got scraps from auradon as our food, anyway. -- i wouldn’t doubt it, honestly, but they spent so much on this ball, i don’t see why they couldn’t otherwise. fleur gothel. nice to meet you, teo. ’

“Yeah, I get that. I try not one of those who blindly follows the teachings like a good few of my classmates do. And I know it doesn’t mean much, but I’m sorry for the hate you get because of your parents. It sucks. -We could make so much money selling that video of them. “

‘ well it’s good that you try. and i try to not judge all of you, or be rude like...a lot of my fellow VK’s are. it’s -- it’s alright. we’re strong, we can pull through it. we aren’t our parents, after all. we could, oh my gosh. it would be amazing. ’

“They do have some biased parts- heroes are the best, magic and true love conquers all- that kind of stuff. But it’s not told in a way to make us hate those on the isle. Just kinda makes most of the kids here uneasy being told of all the ‘dastardly deeds’ of your parents. I’d hate to see the two of them together, probably would end up in a ‘drama off’.

‘ three outta three of those are wrong, hate to tell ya. i figured it was -- so many of you hate us it’s hard to think otherwise. ‘dastardly deeds’ -- figures. well, i won’t excuse any of our parents’ actions, but we’re not all like that. same. love to catch it on film, though. ’

Fashionably late yes he was but dressed to the nines, putting off a vibe of effortless cool for someone who wasn’t a prince and whose parents weren’t royalty. He lived a wonderful life outside of the normal confines of regular children with parents who were supportive and fair and believed in a good head and quick thinking even though he shared some of their less then honorable qualities being as artful as they could come (and a magnificent tourney player at that). Uncle Miguel fostered that trait in him not that he would tell. Teo though could give you the impression that’d shock you to learn he wasn’t of royal blood with how he acted very gentlemanly but he was the son of heroes none the less. Tonight though was not about any of that. Tonight was a ball and all about honoring their guests from the Isle. He was intrigued by them, wondered what it was like but questions like that remained in his head as turned to the person beside him. "Well hopefully there is still a little fun to be had - I’m sure I missed the food. Bet it was good"

fleur starts a bit at the unexpected noise, turning their head towards the source of the voice. they have to look up to see him clearly, but they shrug nonetheless, head tipping in a small nod, ‘ better than what we’re used to. punch has been skied more times than conceivable, and quick question -- why’s the food here so tiny? ’ she picks up a small sandwich, furrowing her eyebrows at it. ‘ it’s distressing. ’
