What I found absolutely impressive and stunning about this comic is the way the artist explained the identification and elimination of the confounding factors in the Rat Park study. This is one of the hardest parts of experiments to explain to the public, and I think it was just brilliantly done.

He led a revolutionary militia and then tried to fuckin find work from the only people who could afford an advisor like him, which happened to be the same group of people who tortured him for 5 months while he held out the names of his compatriots. His advice to those people was then a thorough description of all the fucked up things which were a part of Italian feudal politics with no sense of justification around it, and Kings banned his works (while secretly distributing it internally) because it threatened their system of justifications. The modern asshole who thinks that Machiavelli was writing this stuff all in srs and that Il Principe is like a guidebook on how to get ahead in their office is a douchebag yeah but the inverse of that, the moralist who is disgusted with Machiavelli simply because he describes horror, horror which is still ongoing, without justification, is no better
