{Open} Moonlit walk
Arlene sighed as she finally was able to close, she’d let a new dungeons and dragons group meet at the cafe and they’d not only stayed way past their allotted time but when they’d left they’d totally trashed the place.
Arlene had to make a quick decision whether or not to clean it up now or wait until the morning but in the end cleaning had won out so now at nearly one in the morning she was able to walk home. Most women were worried about walking so late by themselves, most women weren’t honorary members of the Belmonts either and also hadn’t just taken on a fey queen to rescue their friends with their adorable knightly boyfriend. Honestly if Godwin didn’t have so many friends were supernatural beings she’d have invited him to be a Belmont as well but she didn’t think their leader Sophia would really be thrilled about him having vampires like the shakespeares as their friends and honestly Arlene hadn’t really seen what was so bad about supernatural creatures.
At first Arlene had joined them because…well everyone had seen the almost end of the world right?! demons wandering the streets, vampires just going crazy and devouring people, the literal gates of hell had opened in the streets of seacoast and some how everyone acted like it never really happened! Arlene had never felt so helpless only able to protect her grandparents restaurant with salt and because thankfully some other cronie of the belmonts had helped her. Arlene never told her grandparents what had happened (they’d been out of town) she was pretty sure they’d have had her committed if she did but Arlene never forgot that.
Arlene was brought out of her thoughts when she started hearing footsteps behind her and couldn’t help but roll her eyes, not tonight. Mugger, werewolf, whatever so did not want to screw with her tonight! Arlene buried her hands in her jacket pockets and grabbed for the knife she kept there just to be safe.
When he was within hearing distance to not be too loud. “Relax, s’just me! Casper….” Casper held up his hands. “There has been an extraordinary amount of owls around here and I’m trying to figure out why they convene around here. Not really normal. How are you Arlene?” Casper asked as he neared her. “Haven’t seen you since we came back from the realm of the Fae.” He hadn’t slept well and it showed on his face. His dreams kept shifting back to Mab’s castle in a disturbing disorienting manner but nothing was out of the ordinary so he hoped the owls had something to do with it.
Arlene relaxed at the familiar face and offered a smile
"it's good to see a familiar face, the city is dangerous at night you should be home sleeping" arlene told him she saw how tired he looked and frowned
"your lady friend wouldn't like you staying up all night and chasing owls, one look at you and death would need a nap" she gently scolded him of course meaning the best for him
