i love that star wars comic where padmé's surviving handmaidens hold a last stand against vader but honestly if i were them i would have dedicated the rest of my life to the most comprehensive and inescapable fake haunting in the history of the galaxy. man should not be allowed two successive heartbeats without seeing his dead wife's face gazing soulfully at him across the room and slipping away before anyone sees. literally what else is the point of being a highly trained operative capable of perfectly imitating your best friend if not to torment her husband for decades after she's gone.
I’m still waiting for my Daredevil-She Hulk law procedural where Matt and Jennifer battle in the courtroom during the day and bang at night.
i think i want one movie where Shaphne is canon in some way, but only just one and i’ll be satisfied. and i want it to be standalone too, like not related to any Scooby Doo media prior to it or anything that will come after it. but yeah, just one movie
you wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me
How much am I showing my age when I admit my love for this show? The highlight of my year is watching it on SyFy during New Years.
Things we know about Wealwell:

- Majored in standing????
- Just really fucking hot
- Daisuke is hunting him for sport
The Hunger Games has the FUNNIEST arranged marriage of all time btw. Katniss realizes she'll have to marry Peeta and she's obviously upset so Haymitch tries to comfort her by saying "you could do a lot worse" and Katniss is like "well DUH of course I could do worse than Peeta he's the best & handsomest person on the face of the planet but that's not the POINT I want to be able to choose for MYSELF". Then she goes and chooses Peeta anyway lol. Comedy gold I tell you

Damian becoming the Doctor of the family, treating the Bats when they're injured, and taking care of them... But doing so in the most evil unhinged ways possible.
Damian, injecting something into Bruce's arm: I'll give you an anesthetic but you are in no condition to fight, Father. You'll be on bed rest until I clear you.
Bruce, already standing up, no fucks given: Thanks, Damian. But I really need to catch these people, they are– They–
Bruce: *Begins to stumble in place* They– y-you–
Damian:
Bruce, falling to the ground: W-what did you–?
*Evil boss music starts playing in the background*
Damian, slowly approaching: Oh, sorry, did I said I would give you anesthetic? I meant to say a paralyzing agent.
Bruce:
Damian: Don't worry, Father, Black Bat will take care of the case...
Damian, carrying Bruce back to bed:And you, as I said, will be on bed rest until I clear you.
*Evil music intensifies*
*After training*
Damian: I made limonade.
Dick, reaching for a glass: Thanks, Dam—
Damian: Not that one. That one is Drake's.
Dick: Oh–
Damian, handing Dick a glass: This one is yours.
Dick: Oh.
Damian:
Dick:
Dick: Did you- Did you put something in Tim's?
Damian:
Dick:... Did you put something in mine?
Damian:
Dick:What did you p–
Damian: Drink it, Grayson. It's good for you.
It’s not even just Belinda. This entire era has been weirdly pushy on enforcing motherhood as the purpose of women
Donna is confirmed to have settled down and had a child as soon as she left the doctor
Ruby is only 19 and from the very beginning she’s in a maternal role. She looks after the children Carla fosters. In space babies she immediately assumes a maternal role to look after the children.
Anita was sad and lonely and now she’s happy and pregnant (from an accidental pregnancy, isn’t she so glad that happened without her deciding to do it!)
The ranis motivation is grief about her infertility, and her plan is to create loads of new time lord children. One of her incarnations describes herself as the mother of the other.
This entire two series arc has been building up to the statement that women should be mothers, and would be so much happier if they were mothers. Whether they want it or not. When it happens they’ll realise it’s what they wanted the whole time. It’s gross and I think one of the most misogynistic plots from a modern show I’ve seen.
do whatever you want on june third
i just watched psych s3e4, and i am inspired.
so as we all know, eliot and shawn were meant to be cousins. now, eliot's last name is "spencer", so we know he's related to shawn through henry's side of the family (if we ignore redemption lore). the only way for eliot and shawn to be cousins would be if eliot was jack's son.
i already explained in a previous post that i believe that jack had eliot while looking for bouchard's treasure. maybe he met a woman somewhere in latam, or maybe it was a woman that he met in the united states. she got pregnant and told jack, but since jack was always traveling to various latam countries trying to find the treasure (and running away from his "partners"), he wasn't there for the pregnancy. maybe he was there for the birth, but i kinda doubt it.
the woman goes on to have the baby (eliot), and marries a far more responsible man, who goes on to become eliot's stepfather. or, if we want to use redemption's story (which i hadn't yet watched at the time of my previous post), the woman puts eliot up for adoption and eliot gets picked up by his adoptive parents.
however, jack still wants to visit his kid, so he finds out who adopted him and visits him. maybe he takes eliot to a red robin, just like he took shawn.
because shawn and eliot are on opposite sides of the country--eliot is in either missouri or kentucky or oklahoma, shawn is in santa barabara--they only know of each other because of jack.
maybe one day, jack and henry are having an argument and henry says something along the lines of, "you wouldn't know what it's like to take care of another human being, you have no responsibilities", and jack replies with, "that's not true, i have a son", and that's how henry first finds out about eliot.
then, when jack and shawn are hanging out, jack starts telling shawn stories about his cousin eliot and his new parents. maybe he exaggerates them a little. he does the same with eliot, he tells eliot slightly exaggerated stories of shawn having to defeat the evil henry who wants the valiant shawn to do chores. he has a knack for telling stories.
eventually, shawn and eliot meet. maybe jack got permission from eliot's adoptive parents, or maybe jack invited them to santa barbara to meet henry and shawn. maybe it was a moment of clarity for jack, where he realized he was living a dangerous life, and if he ever died, eliot and shawn might never meet and eliot might not have a support system should his adoptive parents ever die. so he convinces eliot's adoptive parents. maybe mr. billy had told jack about his fears of eliot going into the military, so jack said, "well my brother henry is a cop, and he's very passionate about being a cop. maybe he could talk some sense into eliot."
and so, the two cousins meet.
they're shy around each other at first because they'd only ever heard tall tales about each other. but eventually, as kids do, they start playing a game. henry, as per usual, stops them and tells them to play correctly. if eliot is his nephew, he's not gonna play hide and seek like that. no kid related to him is gonna stomp around while playing hide and seek, that's not how good cops look for suspects.
eliot's adoptive parents are relieved to know that henry has a stable life. he has a job, a wife, and his son seems to be a good kid as far as they can tell. besides, henry and billy have a ton in common. they both go fishing together, and build and repair things while the kids are playing. and both their last name is spencer.
henry takes eliot and shawn out for lunch and tells him, "a good cop must always be aware of his surroundings. close your eyes." and that starts the "how many hats are in the room" for eliot. shawn was all too happy to be a witness instead of the one answering the questions. unfortunately, those lessons only helped eliot become a better killer.
eliot meets gus as well and kinda thinks he's lame because he's always trying to correct his grammar, but they have fun together so he doesn't mind.
then, when he's a lot older and sees his parents less, eliot is careful with the information he shares about his family. but his dad jack still has a way of finding him. eliot never asks how, he knows his dad has connections with shady people.
one day, he walks into the leverage consulting inc offices in los angeles looking frazzled. sophie greets him and asks how they can help. he asks for eliot. eliot walks up and before he can say anything, jack is already going off about how "shawn found the treasure and he led me straight to it but then double-crossed me! he's a psychic!". everyone is confused, and eliot drags jack away before he can say more.
eliot knows exactly what treasure jack is talking about and asks him to slow down and explain in detail.
jack tells him that he had seen the news and had seen how shawn had solved dozens of cases for the police because he was a psychic. so jack asked him to help him find bouchard's treasure. he talks about how shawn's power was amazing and how he really was a psychic, and how that power helped them find the treasure. but then, instead of giving jack the treasure, shawn gave him rocks!
jack wasn't mad at shawn for the double-cross. he knew he deserved it, but he was ecstatic to finally be able to tell everyone "i told you the treasure was real!"
eliot doesn't believe a word of what jack is saying, until he reads a newspaper article talking about "local psychic finds long-lost spanish gold in santa barabara", and that's when he decides to call up henry and ask about shawn.
Suzanne Collins number one Maysilee Donner defender
Thinking about Maysilee Donner. A girl who refused to let the Capitol dehumanize her. A girl who wanted to die with dignity, without begging for her life, because that mattered to her. Who set up a place setting with napkins and forks in the middle of the arena because she is a human being. Who loved jewelry and fashion and believed that her appearance sends a message about who she is, and who wanted that message to be respectable, dignified, worth something.
Thinking about Maysilee Donner who was unafraid to slap the woman who pulled her name in the reaping and who threw clever insults towards anyone who provoked her, no matter who they were. Maysilee Donner who believed human dignity is inherent but respect is earned and who refused to give respect to those who did not deserve it.
Maysilee Donner whose father threw money at the reaping stage as if that could save her, and the money floated to the ground just like the confetti, meaningless paper that signified nothing when placed against the power of the Capitol. Whose privilege could not save her. Who recognized that reality and faced it with more fortitude than any person should ever have to display. Maysilee Donner.
santos creates a new group chat, names it ⛔👑💊⛔ and proceeds to send dozens of innocent looking pics she snaps of kingdon together, in various situations, always with the caption: “langdon who is going to be divorced (in...?)” and several ellipsis come to life as everyone types back with a random timeframe.
it starts a trend. the others follow santos’ lead and start doing the same, playing private eye whenever the flow is calm. it's harmless fun. in the beginning, it's just a joke. really, it is. after a while, it's still a joke. mostly. but then... then langdon actually does separate from his wife. and, eventually, does get divorced. and then dana gets added to the group chat - no one comes clean, but santos is suspecting perlah, and she's known to have a nose for this shit. and that's when the bets start for real.
collins isn't in the group chat - she rejects the invite - but gets regular updates from dana. the pic saga continues, but the default caption changes to: “langdon who is going to remarry.” robby is blissfully unaware of the group chat but he's also been the live slug reaction meme personified the whole time, so there's that.
📱 garcia once sends a screen recording of langdon's phone - that she presumably sent herself first - of his home screen/lock screen that pans from his kids and dog to mel at a park;
🧋 shen once catches them at this new coffee shop downtown, mid bickering, as an annoying langdon attempts to get an annoyed mel to try something other than her usual order;
🎥 mckay goes to the movies with her dad and harrison one fine evening just to see them with mel's sister becca buying tickets and popcorn;
🌙 mohan once forwards what looks suspiciously like a surveillance type of photo abbot sent her of the two of them on the hospital rooftop, at night, gazing at the stars, shoulder to shoulder;
🩺 whitaker once sends a series of hurried blurry shots of them smiling stupidly at eachother as they jog around, in and out of patient rooms during a slower shift;
👀 javadi, as usual, forgets to turn on the flash, so no one really understands the intricacies of the ritual, but they're standing supremely and unnecessarily close as they talk while maintaining intense eye contact;
🧥 donnie clocks them whip quick at the ambulance bay this one time when langdon is insisting on giving mel his jacket because it got cold and she left hers inside her locker and there's no time to go get it before the patient arrives, mel!
🍮 jesse gets a good one of them at the cafeteria around lunch time, eating spoonfuls out if the same pudding cup in the background, with ellis front and center hooking a thumb over her shoulder at them with a knowing smirk;
💤 princess finds them in the break room after a rush, sitting on the couch, sharing ear buds, langdon's head on mel's shoulder, and mel staring at him as he slept instead of at her opened lava lamp app;
🚗 perlah once discreetly records scant seconds of them leaving together in langdon's car at the end of a shift from hell, langdon carrying mel's things and opening the door for her to groggily climb in, then turning the phone to get her own deadpan expression on camera;
🖥️ dana doesn't take any pictures because she's too busy being in charge of both the betting poll, the official excel file with all the pertinent names, dates, and amounts, as well as the photo album they're going to print and gift them with at the wedding, whenever the hell that ends up being.
no because here's the thing do you know how Incredible clicking the way kingdon did feels, platonic or romantic as you wanna take it, you enter a new environment and you're preparing to manage your neurodivergency around new people and you're here to learn and you want to make sure to instantly signal your optimism and enthusiasm and a few hours later there's this weird lanky jumpy husky calling you his 'least problematic intern' and constantly checking in on you without being condescending/patronising/implying you can't handle yourself and he's telling you pirate jokes and skipping excitedly ahead of you after specifically asking for you for a stemi all because you talked twice and just fucking Clicked and you were looking for friends and now you have this connection that feels like muscle memory from the future, and that's a BOND, like, FUCK
that's literally princess diana
