My car’s first battery change
Last night, when my family and I set off to leave home and dine out, my car wouldn’t start. Every twist of the key into the ignition just resulted to a wheezy sound. Luckily, my brother, who was in a separate car with his wife, was still in the garage. We had to jumpstart my car by connecting cables in each others’ car batteries.
My car battery is probably draining away. It’s been more than two years since I got my brand new car. It was time to have the battery checked.
Today, after work, I drove with A to a shop selling car batteries. The brand popular in our area was Motolite. And what my car had was Motolite Gold. From visiting the shop, I found out there were several types of Motolite car maintenance free batteries: Excel, Gold, and Enduro. Excel is the high-end one, Gold and Enduro are built for hot or tropical climates. To be safe, I had the battery replaced with the same subtype of Motolite. Maybe next time when I don’t want to spend, my next replacement will be the Enduro subtype.
