2020 Fluid Art #104 - Black & Pink with Glitter Paint https://youtu.be/j9K2V2oOXZo My friend, Myssi, asked me if I had tried glitter paints before and I said no, so I looked for a cheap brand of glitter paints to try. I found a few colors and one of them was pink cosmos, so I decided to give it a try. I used some Mars Black, Rose Gold, Titanium White with Coconut Milk Hair Serum, some other pinks and Galaxy Giltter Clear Ice Comet. I kind of like how this turned out. I can’t wait to see how it dries, I am curious how well the glitter shows up when it is dry and varnished. The glitter in these paints is larger than I expected. It makes me want to look for some fine glitter I mix in with some other paints to see how that looks too. I actually drew these cards and took pictures of the descriptions earlier this week. But things have been off track for me lately for lots of different reasons. I had some ideas of what I was going to say as a voiceover for each card and stuff, and I trimmed it for TikTok. But after things kept coming up this week, I just decided to leave it like this. I have the TikTok version at the beginning with my very basic interpretation. Then, I have the longer section where it shows the words I usually read and then discuss further. I just don’t have it in me right now. You can pause the screen and read the cards for yourself if you wish. Or, you can just take the very minimal basic interpretation from the beginning. I used some royalty free music by Approaching Nirvana from Spotify since I didn’t feel like talking for the voiceover. I decided to do my 6x11 piece with greens for my 9 piece series that I have been working on. I still ended up with the section towards the bottom with a lot of white that I keep trying to avoid with these. I guess at this point, if I made one without that part it would seem strange with the rest. I used a lot of greens, but it doesn’t quite seem like as much green shows in the final piece as I expected. I couldn’t have gone over it again, but decided to leave it. I will see how I like it after it dries. Images usually pop out to me after they dry that makes me like my paintings better, so I will wait and see.
