I feel no attachment to my name.
I never have. Growing up, my given name never felt like it was my name. People call me it and it feels like they’re calling for someone else.
I thought choosing my own name might fix it, but it hasn’t. I feel no attachment to the name I choose either. It doesn’t feel like it’s me.
I’m thinking about trying out other names or just accepting I have this weird detachment to names.
