so… Vincent can’t really talk, we kinda saw that in the movie when (spoilers ahead)
He holds Bo’s body and kinda tries to scream, but he can’t. BUT, I have an idea that he TRIES to talk to you, but it’s more of a whisper. At first, when you two start dating, he only uses sign language (or, if you’re like me and don’t know anything about sign language, he carries around a little notepad and uses that to write on!) as a way to communicate. It’s only when you both are either on a date, specifically when the seasons are changing and it’s a bit colder, meaning it’s completely silent in the entire ghost town, that you hear a small: “…I love you…” coming from Vincent. You were looking up at the stars with his head resting on your lap, and you didn’t even notice how he was only looking up at you, not the sky.
you looked down to see if he gave a reaction since you weren’t even sure if he spoke or if it was just a breeze. Vincent didn’t even realize he let the thought slip until you looked down at him.
“What?”
“!!”
He immediately blushed a deep red and brought his hands to his face, trying to hide his embarrassment. It was adorable~
or, maybe you two are laying in bed after a long day, and in the darkness of the room, you hear a soft whisper. You would have missed it if you weren’t focusing on the silence of the room…

You stayed quiet for a moment, processing what just happened.

he flinched as soon as you whispered back, not expecting you to respond nor reciprocate his feelings. You could just FEEL how his body warmed up, making you hold back a giggle at how much he must be blushing.

This man doesn't know much about most animals.
Never really cared to learn.
But if he has any questions, he knows he has his own human "Google" specifically for animals.
Will ask you to tell him something you know about any animal or insect you see during missions.
He knows he's supposed to be quiet and focused, but seeing your face light up at a chance to talk about them? He's more than willing to completely blow everyone's cover.
When you go on a whole spiel about one specific animal, then it somehow reminds you of something about another one, he will place his chin in his palm and nod.
God knows he probably won't remember what your saying, but you look adorable and hearing your voice is another added bonus to the mix.
Sure, you scare the absolute shit out of him when you suddenly gasp at a memory of an animal you have knowledge on, but once his heart stops hurting he will ask you about it.
He bought himself some books on animals in an attempt to teach you something about an animal.
You most likely already knew the fact, but you pretend you didn't because it's cute that your little Golden Retriever boyfriend is trying to impress you and indulge in your hobbies.
Takes you to a Zoo or Aquarium so you can teach him something about the creators.
Sure, he could read about it where it has information TO read, but he claims he learns better when YOU tell him.
Just because its an excuse to hear you talk with a bright smile on your face and that sparkle of joy in your eyes, doesn't mean anything.
Simon "Ghost" Riley
Doesn't know anything about animals except some are prey and others are predators.
He only knows that because its how he describes what its like on missions.
Doesn't care about animals, wanting to focus soley on his job.
Won't shut you up when you rant about them though... the sound of your voice distracts him from his mind.
Does actually find it cute when you see an animal outside the base on calm days and you talk about them, joy in your eyes.
If you see an animal on the battle field and rant about them... he will glare at you and tell you to shut up.
If he hears you in comms he will say your callsign and order you to shut up and focus on the task at hand.
Later, after the mission, he will nudge you and ask about the animal you had seen and wanted to talk about.
When you compare him to different species of an animal or a new animal he will act annoyed at it, but thinks its adorable that you think of him as something like that.
Will gift you a notebook or something like that so you can write down any and all facts you have.
When you tell him a really weird fact, he looks at you concerned about how you would know something like that.
You confuse and concern him, but he also loves you dearly.

In the beginning of your relationship he would fall head over heals at the sound of your voice and the excited look on your face.
Does he hear what you're saying? Yes.
Does he panic when you ask him if he was listening and he forgets everything you said up to that point? Also yes.
Does it make him feel like a terrible boyfriend? Another yes.
Make sure you comfort him because now he feels bad.
A little further in the relationship, as soon as you start talking about animal facts, he records it.
Why?
Because he wants to write it all down in a journal he just bought that reminded him of you.
Why is he writing it all down in a journal?
Because he wants to give it to you as a present! Duh!
On missions, though, he doesn't pay attention to what you say at all unless its important for the sake of the mission or the teams help.
He loves you and your voice, but he's trying to focus on surviving and completing the mission.
If you call him a nickname based off an animal, he will ask why, and when you talk about how he is similar to the animal...

When he does look at you, still doesn't notice it right away.

When he does finally notice it, he takes a HARD double-take.
Super shocked and excited for you.
Will ask questions about it like: "Did it hurt", "What does it mean", "Is it something that means a lot to you", etc.
He want's a tattoo but is scared of the pain and doesn't wanna miss working out for a while to let it heal.
He will have a tattoo vicariously through you.

Notices right away.
This man is able to tell if you went to the dentist, he's THAT observant istg.
Will ask a few questions about it, but not bombard you like Alex.
Studies it and pinpoint any potential mistake right away so you can get it fixed right away.
Ask to take a picture or two so he can make a book about it and use your tattoo as the cover, with credits of course.
Is honestly proud of you for having the guts to get a tattoo done.
He personally believes the body is a temple that should not be tainted with ink, piercings, or hair dyes.
He keeps those opinions to himself though, not wanting to upset someone by giving his unwanted opinion.
Harvey
Notices it when you have your check-up.
He may be older and a doctor, but he thinks it's really cool.
Asks only a few questions about why you got it, but mainly focuses on the health of it.
Examins it throughout the healing period to make sure it's not infected, that you're not allergic to the ink, and that you're taking proper care of yourself.
Will come to the farm every now and then to check on your tattoo as well to make sure you're letting it heal and not damaging it by working on the farm.
If you want him to put Aquaphor on it, he will, just come to his office when it opens and closes and he will do that for you.
Doesn't want a tattoo, thinks they're cool, but is terrified of the risks and the pain.
Sam
He's obsessed with cool stuff.
With that being said, he notices it right off the bat.
Immediately bombards you with questions, his eyes sparkling.
Wants most of the juicy details of you finding what you wanted, deciding on it, before the tattoo, during, and after.
Just don't tell him about the bleeding, he's not into that stuff... makes him queasy.
Talks about how much he wants a tattoo but can't get one yet since he doesn't have the money and his parents don't want him to get one while he lives with them.
He already got piercings without talking to them first, defiantly not going to get a tattoo yet.
If you're good at drawing, he will ask you to draw fake tattoos on him so he can get the feeling of what its like to have one, without it being permanent.
Talks to you a lot more now, finding you to be really cool.

He likes things that are "Rebellious" and stuff his mom and Demetrious don't want him to do.
Will have you walk with him while he has a cigarette so he can talk about the tattoo with you.
Asks you a few questions, but due to him being a bit timid and having anxiety he doesn't ask a lot of them.
Is totally fine with you just telling him details without him asking, prefers it that way anyway.
You can tell him the bloody stuff, not at all bothered by it, he thinks its cool anyway.

He will be happy that you care enough to ask about his interests!

Ultimis! Tank Dempsey and Takeo Masaki Fluff(??) Headcanons
The Japanese Soldier always considered himself more intelligent, much like the German Doctor.
He originally planned to become acquainted with the man, but was turned down and thus distanced himself, becoming more warry of him.
Masaki and Nikolai have a shared hatred of one another.
However, he merely dislikes the blonde American Marine.
So, he began to stick more towards the Marine
Tank however, despises Richtofen, has mutual feelings towards the Russian, and likes the smart soldier from Japan.
So he didn't mind Takeo getting closer to him in a way.
They began to grow a bond in a way, searched one another out for support of any kind.
The pair would sit somewhere away from the other half of the four, but in a distance that kept them in their safe spot.
One would talk, the other would listen, allowing the other man to rant without wanting feedback.
There are times where one seeks advice or a conversation on the things that suck most about the apocalypses.
Like the lack of cooked food or a nice warm shower.
They eventually became decently good friends.
Not the loud type that would put everyone, including themselves, in danger.
But the type that would crack a joke or make a pun, push one another as they chuckled in silence.
On colder nights they would sleep side by side or back to back, to protect the other but also for some warmth and a bit of comfort, knowing there was someone who was actually there and not just four men fighting the undead.
Takeo tried to teach Dempsey how to use a sword.
Tried.
The Marine got bored and went on a rant about how guns are better and easier.
The blonde man tried to learn how to use chop sticks to impress his Japanese friend, granted it was with a couple twigs and attempting to pick up pebbles or leaves off the ground, but he tried nevertheless.
Takeo broke down once.
He was explaining to the blue eyed man how he felt he had dishonored his culture and his country.
How he had felt useless for not being able to stop this rampage of living dead.
Dempsey didn't know what to do in that situation, but he attempted to comfort him with a "hug"
It was awkward, but its the thought that counts... right?
