It’s important to know that hijab is banned in schools in most of the european countries, such as france, belgium, switzerland etc. Millions of girls have to take their hijab off everyday in order to have access to education, and I am one of them. Please spread this as much as possible, it has become so normal here that I feel like a fool for even mentioning it, but I’m pretty sure it goes against the human rights. This senseless law has been on since 2004 and pretends that all the students have to be “equal” and it is prohibited to show that you belong to any religion, any religious sign must be set aside. However, most of us have to take our hijab off in schools where you can clearly see a christmas tree or a christian cross. “Yeah but it’s not the same”, they say. Tell me about double standards. I pray for days when we don’t have to chose between religion and education.

1. Muslim isn’t a race. It’s a religion. So accusations of racism is just plain brain rot.

2. A nun chooses to wear her garb, muslim women are forced in ample examples. Trying to compare the two is pure brain rot.

3. The muslims have nothing to do with the Jewish. So bringing up antisemitism is pure brain rot.

4. The same has been happening to Christian’s for years, I’m not comparing the issues. I’m establishing a pattern. What the Hell did you think would happen when you put people screaming “religion bad!” In positions of power to do this? Did you think they’d would stop with christianity? Did you honestly think that? If you did, I’ve got a bridge to sell ya.

This law doesn’t distinguish between women who want to wear the hijab and women who are forced to. This law harms Muslim women who earnestly desire to show their devotion to God. As for the racism, Islam is not a race, but Islamophobia is partially rooted in racism as a majority-West Asian religion. White and non-West Asian Muslims exist, but most Islamophobia in America and Europe is usually motivated by Eurocentrism, which is racist.

Just a question. Why should European countries become like the USA? USA is a melting pot. Why should Europe become one? Why shouldn't be accepted that in a European country European traditions are set. If I go abroad or even if I live in another continent I dont expect them to cater to my every need including religion, tradition etc. I respect what they have there. Why is it that European countries cannot have this? Why must we change? But you dont expect any other countries to do this?
