Generator Rex - Enemy Alliance!
So I was on CartoonNetwork.com and I saw this on one of the adspaces. The game is finally out in the App store! :)
Generator Rex Not Returning. :(
So, it's confirmed. Cartoon Network's Upfront was today, and Generator Rex was nowhere. I have no clue if they're going to air the rest of the episodes on TV or not, but it seems unlikely...

Generator Rex Mobile Game!
From Cartoon Network's Coming Soon page... GENERATOR REX
Enemy Alliance Mobile Game!
Ever wish you could take your Generator Rex game wherever you go? With our new mobile game, Enemy Alliance, you'll unleash some of Rex's most powerful weapons as you team up with Van Kleiss to take down the evil computer ZAG-RS. Coming soon to the App Store! (Generator Rex - Enemy Alliance App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. You must be 18 years or older or have permission from a parent or guardian.)
Oh my god but you’re both just huge massive losers guys
Where are you watching this? :O
The last Generator Rex episode I saw was A Brief History of Time. After that, it just wasn’t airing on CN and yet we’re already on part 1 of the season finale? Can someone explain this to me?
Wikipedia said some of the episodes were released on iTunes, but why weren’t they aired on CN?
It's most likely because of the low ratings and low merchandise sales. If you go to any toy store that sells Generator Rex toys, you'll see that they're in the clearance section. Lego Ninjago reruns do better than a new episode of Generator Rex, unfortunately. Cartoon Network probably didn't want to lose ad money by airing Generator Rex, so they just decided to pull it off. Like the others have said, the episodes will continue being released on Xbox Live, Zune, Playstation Network, and iTunes. No one knows if the rest of the series will air on TV or not.
i think the reason this part hits me so hard is because rex has never openly admitted he was scared (asides from in promises, promises when he is younger), and if he ever did, it was never significant enough for me to remember. but THIS was significant. every time i see his face, when he says this, i SERIOUSLY feel my heart break into a million bloody crumbs. :’c i will probably make a version of this with song lyrics as well. if my LAGGY ASS PHOTOSHOP DECIDES TO LISTEN TO ME.
uploading these together because they are not only directly related, they both had sad looks, and they have lyrics from the same song (World Around Me, by Escape the Fate)… and they’re both super depressing. plus, i wanted the pic to be big and not small or whatever… xD told you i was gunna make this with lyrics!
“I really don’t want the series to end yet… there’s so much that I still want to see!”
"End Game Part 1"
The first part of the two part series finale for Generator Rex is now on iTunes, Xbox Live, Zune and Playstation Network! I guess it's going to be released on Fridays from now on.
Made my own Generator Rex DVD… XD Second one burning at 30% right now. (Images were taken on my cell phone, on my television XD)
The first image is the home screen, the scenes play in those little rectangles! The song “Revolution” by Orange plays in the background of all menus! That “Loser” song from Rabble plays in the home screen of the second DVD I am currently making.
The second image is the episodes, no names (I dunno how to do that) so I just gotta assume, 1-6 and all that.
Third image is the notes, which tells me all the episode names if I need them (I usually don’t LOL).
The DVD works on Xbox 360 as well.. C: And the menu I’ve chosen matches GR surprisingly well. I’m super excited about this XD Even has Generator Rex font <3
This is just awesome
How did you make the menu screen like that? Did you use some kind of program? Because, this looks awesome!
Yeap… found the March premier schedules for Cartoon Network on Toon Zone, and Generator Rex is nowhere to be found. If we get “Enemies Mine” on PSN, Zune, and iTunes this following weekend, I think that’s a sign they’ll finish off the rest of the episodes on that stuff instead of on TV.
After…
See, here’s the weird thing, though…
TVGuide.com and Uverse have an unnamed episode of GR scheduled for March 9th at 8:30pm. If you look at the March listings on Toonzone, the only show with a March 9th slot is Clone Wars at 8pm.
Hell if I know what this means if anything, though. Could be they’ll shove Ninjago back into that Friday slot again even though it’s already slated for Wednesday nights, given they can’t seem to stop rerunning those damn eps all the time.
Yeah, I’ve noticed that as well. It’s confusing as all hell, so I’m wondering what’s gonna happen on the 9th. I looked on the GR section of CN’s website as well, and yet they don’t show anything for the 9th either. The one thing that I’ve learned is that CN’s website is actually more accurate than TVGuide and those other places… so it might be that the untitled GR episode that TVGuide has up is a random placeholder, and they haven’t recieved any word from CN yet on whether or not there will be an episode.
Seeing as how The Flintstones,The Jetsons, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, and Codename: Kids Next Door are listed, I'm sure it's a place holder.
Generator Rex News
Cartoon Network's March 2012 schedule was released today. Unfortunately, Generator Rex wasn't on it. :( At this rate, it seems like Cartoon Network isn't planning on airing the remaining episodes. The good news is that the episodes will continue being released on XBox Live, Zune, Playstation Network, and iTunes. So...
I get a fair number of questions about this between here and Deviant Art, so here’s a post that will hopefully answer a number of them! :)
My Rex cosplay is a combination of things… Some that I bought and left unaltered because they were close enough to what was needed already, such as the amber lens goggles and black boots, and others that I purchased and made alterations to as necessary. (EDIT: Forgot to mention, the goggles are Vega I-Gear goggles. Have been asked before what kind they are.)
The t-shirt is actually two shirts - white and teal of the same size - that I bought and cut in half horizontally, then sewed together. The teal gloves and red track jacket I ordered online. (The jacket came from spreadshirt.com for anyone wondering, the gloves from welovecolors.com.) I also got the yellow-orange nylon online that I used to make the glove cuffs (as the gloves themselves are normally just one solid color). The jacket was altered using a couple of plain orange t-shirts I got at a hobby store and cut up. I couldn’t find jersey style material in that color that I liked for the jacket striping, cuffs, etc. so that was my solution to the problem. Everything on the jacket was either sewn by hand into place or fixed down with a fabric glue called Liquid Stitch. That same orange t-shirt fabric was also used to make the two rectangles on the Rex shirt. The back of the jacket (with the metallic silver gear and wording of “Start A Revolution”) was a custom design I specificed to be added when I made the online order. The pants are a store bought pair of black mens jeans, the designs hand painted on with light blue fabric paint. It took two coats to get it that solid and bright, the process made easier by creating templates from thick card stock and tracing them onto the black fabric with a white fabic pencil. The dogtags are something extra I added, much like the design on the back of the jacket. I wanted to make my cosplay unique and the tags were something I wore every day months ahead of the convention I was going to as a reminder to adhere to near daily work outs and healthier eating habits so that I’d be in better shape for the cosplay. Even now, the tags don’t leave me. I wear them when I work, sleep and even shower. They’re stainless steel, so they don’t rust.
There are a few things about the costume that aren’t perfect and that I’m not entirely happy with, but Rex is only the second character I’ve ever cosplayed, so I’m still learning and have settled with what I managed to do this time around.
The BFS is something I’m still working on. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected family medical emergency that came up prior to the convention last September, I lost a lot of time to work and only the Rex costume itself saw completion by November. The BFS is being constructed out of a combination of PVC pipe, insulation foam, wood glue, hot glue, paper mache and styrofoam. Two different grades of sandpaper, a break-away-blade box cutter, paint brushes, a pipe cutter and a few other tools are aiding me on the project. The blade by itself is four feet flong and detaches from the hilt and handle, which are an additonal two feet in length. If you look closely at the image in the upper right hand corner of the montage photo, you can see the hole I’ve cut in the side of the sword base so that I can reach through and grip the PVC pipe that runs down the middle. Once the BFS is closer to completion, I’ll be buying some metallic silver fabric to sew into a sleeve that can be pulled over my lower right arm to help with the illusion that my arm is actually part of the weapon. Hopefully I can get back to working on this in another two or so months when the weather here in the US midwest warms up more.
