I gotta hand it to the US Empire, "be so cartoonishly evil that the average person's instinctual reaction is 'no that can't possibly be true'" turns out to be a very good propaganda tactic
I know Iâm preaching to the converted here, but man oh man, women in heterosexual marriages get such a raw deal. Everywhere I turn, and every marriage I see, I see the suffering of women so much. All their potential, their health, their personalities, their dreams, their intelligence, their charisma, everything snubbed out by marriage to a man. Makes me really upset :(
Imagine everything women could accomplish if marriage, cohabitation with men, childbirth, and child raising wasnât pushed onto women.

the phrase âcome back with a warrantâ being such a shortcut for a show trying to make you not be on a characterâs side is⊠terrifying. ykwim
same with how âi want a lawyerâ is used to indicate someones guilt, and how people in cop shows only say that when they know theyve been caught.
Yup. In reality, if youâre being questioned by the police, the best bet you have is to say nothing EXCEPT âI want a lawyer,â until you have a lawyer, have talked privately and confidentially with that lawyer, and your lawyer has told you what you should say (which may very well still be absolutely nothing).
I will add a small caveat that if itâs something like giving a statement about, say, witnessing a car accident or whatever, thatâs a bit different. But if youâre in custody? Shut the hell up for your own good. Itâs not âguilty,â itâs SMART, and donât let cops or cop shows convince you otherwise.
Right up there with demonizing people who plead the fifth.
Basically these cop shows paint every single one of your rights as something only a real villain would ever even think about using, and/or as an obstacle for the heroes to overcome.
Given the history of false imprisonment and police misconduct in this country, thatâs a very dangerous lesson to be teaching.
Cop shows are propaganda, and you should remain aware of that when you are watching.
The tradition of Pride Month began in 1970 with a series of marches to commemorate the Stonewall Riots, when LGBTQ patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back against harassment and brutality by the police. Before Stonewall, marches by gay and lesbian activists were quiet, with participants dressed in formal attire. After Stonewall, the protests would be loud, with no dress code.
âAs the fight for LGBTQ rights became more mainstream, corporations have latched onto Pride Month as a way of courting the LGBTQ community, an important source of customers and skilled employees.
But do these corporations really support the LGBTQ movement? Popular Information has identified nine rainbow flag-waving corporations that gave $1 million or more to anti-gay politicians in the last election cycle.
Deconstructing corporate pride
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the most prominent organization dedicated to LGBTQ rights, produces a âCorporate Equality Index.â In 2019, 572 companies earned a perfect score. HRC says these companies are the âBest Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.â
Popular Information identified nine corporations that received a perfect score from HRC but donated $1 million or more in the last election cycle to politicians that received a zero on the HRC Congressional scorecard. The donations were all from corporate PACs to politicians or their leadership PACs.â

LGBTQ youth are at a disproportionately higher risk of homelessness but at least our deterrent benches are rainbow-colored, right?
Hello Tumblr! Iâm usually a bit too old for Tumblr call outs but this serious enough to warrant this.
The person pictured is named Jacqueline Nicole Diaz aka Jay Khalid Diaz they live in the Philadelphia area and have been claiming to be a chronically ill Muslim Syrian/Afro-Cuban while in fact, they are half white/half non-black Cuban in order to garner financial and physical support from the QTPOC in Philadelphia.Â
After telling conflicting stories about their background and falsely accusing someone of assaulting them in New York at a time when that person was not even in the state at the time, several community members raised concerns that Jay may have been lying about their identity and reached out to her sister who revealed:
Jay was raised by their white mother in Chattanooga Tennessee and has never lived in Lebanon or Chicago despite claiming otherwise
Jay told several people that their mother had died and showed several people pictures of her, when in fact her mother is still alive and pictures that were shown were of her deceased aunt
Jay was raised Catholic, not Muslim
Jay claimed to have a twin brother, the twin brother they showed on Facebook was in fact their cousin
Several of Jayâs friends were informed by a Creole friend of Jayâs named Roawna Naquin saying that Jay needed assistance paying for medical bills, the friend was in fact another persona of Jayâs
Jay has also sought out financial assistance for rent and other medical bills
Jacqueline Diaz has been unrepentant thus far and is trying to avoid any accountability for their actions, meanwhile the community is hurt and several people are out of large sums of money. Please boost this and advise people in the Philadelphia area about this person. Iâll keep this post updated as the situation continues to develop.
if you ever find yourself gripped with the desire to share a list of so-called âhoe tipsâ: donât. just save yourself the embarrassment. until men are disseminating lists amongst themselves on the best facial hair removal techniques so as to not irritate their partners vulvas or whatever the fuck, just give it a rest. thereâs literally no point in propagating that kind of shit and feeding impressionable girls on here the message that servicing men sexually and maintaining smudge-proof lipstick while they do it is of tantamount importance. honestly. keep the panting desire for male approval to yourself
this is so goodÂ
I love when a post swipes all the bullshit off the counter and lays out the truth like a trusted old atlas
I love you, Anne.

why are the most defensive bi women the ones who exclusively date men. OH.
men want the beauty standard to be skinny because they know that a big strong woman would really be able to beat the shit out of all the rapists, pedophiles, and abusers that have hurt us during our lives
âA culture fixated on female thinness is not an obsession about female beauty, but an obsession about female obedience. Dieting is the most potent political sedative in womenâs history; a quietly mad population is a tractable one.â
- Naomi Wolf, The Beauty Myth
