Legends and Lore: Let’s start the week off with a twist or retelling of your favorite stories from different cultures’ legends and lore. From Ancient Greece and Rome to Arthurian, Norse, Hindu, Japanese, Chinese, Egyptian, Native American, anything at all!
Decades and Centuries: Mix and Match your favorite decade and century! The grunge of the 1990s? The extravagance of the French Court in the 1760s, or the age of the Samurai in the 1500s. Want to see Genma as a hippie in the 60’s or in a bowler hat in the 1880s? Have fun with this prompt!
The Good, The Bad, and The Sexy: If American Westerns (or even the Spaghetti kind) is your thing, then this is the prompt for you. Who shot the Sheriff? Making a stand against the outlaws? Cowboys trying to make it in the harsh, unforgiving lands? Or is Genma donning the black hat himself? So many options!
Where in Time is Genma Shiranui? For our fans of time travel, this one is for you! What’s his mode of transportation? A box? A car? Advanced science? Does he find companions along the way? What adventures does he find himself in? The past, present, and future are all open to explore.

Daily Prompts
Crime and Punishment: Want to get into the nitty-gritty world of organized crime? Mob, yakuza, gangs, cartels, heists… It’s all open to dive into. Or would you prefer to be on the other side of the law? Chasing down and dismantling those evil and powerful organizations? Channel your inner Scorsese or make it light-hearted, ala Ritchie.
Luscious Locks: We can’t have Genma Week without giving his hair its own day. What would he do if he had a bad hair day? Or lost his ever trustworthy bandana? What if he discovered hair ties and barrettes? Would he let someone else style his hair? What would happen if he ran out of his favorite hair product? A man is only as good as his hair, and Genma love’s his hair.
But Did You Die?: Looking back at all those dangerous missions, dumb decisions, intoxicated impulses that lead to an adventure that people still bring up and complain about. The rebuttal is always “But did you die?” and since the answer is no, then it was a good adventure. And maybe, there’s a sparkle in Genma’s eyes for the next troubling adventure, but he wasn’t going to do it… he was just thinking about it… Now, who is going along or being counted out? Eat Your Heart Out: What can you cook up? How are Genma’s cooking/baking skills? From around a campfire to a modern kitchen, stir in spices, wait for the plot to boil, and mix in comedy, drama, intrigue, romance, even horror. Maybe take this suggestion literally for a dark twist.
Children, and Summons, and Sitters, Oh My: Is Genma trustworthy enough to trust to take care of your most precious things? Children, pets, the house? Will he be in over his head or handle it better than expected? Or is he the one being watched? Is he the one trying to undermine his babysitter? Or does he get into trouble so often that there is always one friend that is Genma’s babysitter for the night so he doesn’t end up in the drunk tank or in a fistfight with a pretty girl’s husband?
Oral Fixation/Mouth Chakra: Another must have prompt! That ever-present senbon between his lips says a lot about Genma’s oral fixation. And how can he spit it out so far? Mouth Chakra anyone? What other things can that mouth do?
Zodiac/Astrology: Our boy is a Cancer. A water sign, its symbol is the crab. Its ruling planet is the moon that controls our ocean tides. His strong association to fluidity, oceans, water, and the sea can make him gentle as a brook or as savage as a hurricane. There are many stories about the constellations that can be used as inspiration. Or even pull from marine lore, mermaids, sirens, selkies, sea nymphs, ocean gods, and any other water beings that inspire you.
Free Day: Since it’s Genma’s birthday, and maybe you have something that doesn’t fit any of the above prompts, but you still want to offer something, we will gladly accept it! We just want to celebrate the birthday boy, any and all gifts are accepted!

Summary: Genma receives a special gift from the Maito Family on the first birthday he celebrates after his mom’s death.
To Genma, July meant a whole two months since his mother passed away. July also meant his birthday. And this particular July meant that Mama wouldn’t be here to greet him in the morning, to tease him with stories of past birthdays, or with the promise of a cake when he got home from training or the Academy.
She tried to bake him a cake every year and failed jut as often, running to grab a cake from a bakery before he came home.
Thinking of her now as the smell of gardenias surrounded him in the futon in their shared bedroom, Genma couldn’t help but cry.
He let out large sobs, the sounds harsh and grating in the quiet apartment in this long-forgotten corner of the Red Light District.
So, when someone knocked on the door, he didn’t hear it the first time. Or the second.
But he did register the knocking on the third attempt.

Happy Genma Week!! I'm super happy to finally turn something in for Genma Week. I've been thinking about GenHina for like months now and now I'm finally posting it!! I'm sorry it's such tooth rotting fluff, but hey, I write what I write. haha

Summary: It took a certain mindset to be in ANBU, or at least to be in ANBU and not be driven mad by it. Stress relief was a vital and necessary part of the job. Sexual release was an easy and effective way to achieve it and Genma had offered his services readily.
Art classes weren’t Sakura’s idea of a good time, but Ino drags her along anyway. A new subject might just be the spark to make her change her mind.
Sakura had had enough of this. The last two Friday nights Ino had dragged her girls to the Konoha Arts Center for the Adult Paint Class.
Ino had promised it would be fun, and that there would be wine. What she hadn’t said was that the wine would come out of a box, or that Sakura would be so bad at painting. Thankfully, Temari and Tenten were also tired of giving up their Friday nights to watch Ino flirt and drink subpar wine. Hopefully she would be able to persuade them to join her coup d'etat and overthrow Ino so her one night out could be spent doing something worthwhile. Like drinking premium wines in her yoga pants on her own couch. Which is why she had invited the two of them to her apartment to pregame an hour before Ino and Hinata were supposed to arrive.
Two glasses and a little prodding from Sakura had them both firmly on her side. Sakura was just topping off their glasses for the third time when Ino barged in.

Me gusta la idea de que Genma y Yamato son buenos colegas. Y que todos los jonins lo cuidan, por eso pactaron un acuerdo conjunto para no hablar de ese tema frente a él.
Respecto a los diseños, algo que siempre hubiera querido ver es a Genma con ese traje de la nueva era. Para el caso de Yamato, su diseño nuevo no es nada lindo, específicamente su casco sin símbolo 😩 ¿por qué le hicieron eso?

“I think it’s time for us to set sail. Where is the rest of the crew?”
“They should be about done loading The Nation.” Raidou answered, now standing next to his captain.
Genma wrapped an arm around his first mate, and began to lead him down the alley at a leisurely pace.
“We really should hurry,” Raidou urged. “Anko’s going to be pissed if she finds out you were with another member of her crew.”
“You worry too much,” Genma answered breezily, peaking around the corner before darting into the dimly lit street.
They worked their way to the docks, doing their best to stay in the shadows, and out of her sight. But it wasn’t enough. Just when his boots met the wooden planks that formed paths over the water, she screamed. “God damn it, Shiranui! I’ve told you to stay the hell out of Takumi.”
Now I have a feeling Genma isn’t the type to ever want children of his own, but he’s also the type that can handle calmer kids. So it’s fun to imagine him with a lost kid who wanders up to him and just sort of sticks around.
Eventually ending up with their own senbon and looking like a mini Genma while he waits for their parent(s) or someone to come get this kid.
His TARDIS takes him everywhere, and keeps the shape of a front door, always inviting in new adventures. Would you walk in and see where in Time he takes you?

Summary:
Genma learned to cook at his mother’s side, her hands guiding his as they measured the seasoning and stirred the broth.
The next time he learned a recipe was on a routine camping trip with Choza-sensei.
The third time he learned a recipe was after a long day of training.
The next important recipe Genma learned was while he was working as part of the Yondaime’s Guard.
The recipe he learned with Gai was his favorite. For Gai, he’d cook all the recipes he’d learned over the years, and hopefully, learn more new ones along the way.
