So we know that there weren't any survivors on the BSL station that Samus saw, besides her animal buddies, but Adam says that whoever was being mimicked to sabotage the boiler was alive pretty recently. How recently, though? After Samus got there?

Does that mean that other scientists and crew might've still been alive, maybe locked away deep in the sectors and holding out hope they'd be rescued, when Samus popped open the security locks holding back the X?

Do you think any of them saw Samus' silhouette and thought they were saved, before the smoke cleared and revealed eyes that weren't hers?

hi guys this is part 2 of my METROIDGELION thingy go see PART ONE if u havent already! This part is about Ghor, Gendobeak and Melissa.....

I got lazy by the time i got to gendobeak so I reused art I made 3 years ago ok

Ghor: the fourth eva pilot chosen woww.... not sure which character he is same with rundas they're just kinda their own guys... hes pretty chill and hangs out with the other pilots at school. Whenever he pilots his eva however, similar to prime 3 when he uses his mech suit he kinda goess CRAAAAZYYY and has a personality change. his eva is also based off his mech in prime 3.

Gendobeak: the bird behind it all😱 obviously he is the stand in for gendo and the only one who has a name change bc I think gendobeak rolls off the tongue nicely and its funny. But yeah obsessed with the phazon angels and the evangelions he forces his own "daughter" samus into piloting these things alongside other bounty hunter characters!!!! so despicable!!! What are his motivations?? uhmm idk im making this all up rn😒.... a very twisted man of science similar to his game counterpart. So TWISTED he also clones people like gendo... but whaaat who is he cloning....

Melissa: 😱😱😱 w...WHAT!!! gendobeak has CLONES of MELISSA... well I have another twist coming! in this universe gendobeak is able to make the most powerful clone of all... SAMUS

Yes melissa is a clone of samus and the rei stand in woww!! After Samus leaves with old bird for that period of time gendobeak is panicked bc his best pilot just left so he tries to recreate her in case of an emergency... the result is Melissa and he keeps dummies of her so he will always gave a pilot no matter what even if Melissa or all the others die. Bc Melissa is uhm a clone she kinda cant go to school bc ppl are gonna ask why she is Samus's spitting image so shes kinda confined to space nerv headquarters hence why shes the only one I drew in her plugsuit... incase ur wondering what does everyone else think of this they think its kinda effed up (especially samus)

Melissa doesnt have her own designated eva bc shes a backup and designed to sync with all the evas as much as she can so whenever someone else cant pilot for whatever reason she comes to the rescue!!!!

hi guys I want to flesh out some characters from my hit METROIDGELION au! this is gonna be 2 parts but for this one i am going to ramble a bit on samus, gandrayda and rundas ok...

incase u cant tell this is all made up as I go ok

Samus: she is the shinji character for the story ofc... she really hasn't changed too much from whatever I said on my og post regarding her losing the varia eva and being stuck with ridley eva (possessed by virginia) but i will add that after losing varia eva to the attacks of phazon angels she actually leaves town and goes to live with old bird for 3 years bc shes been forced to go in this robot for forever since youth bc of space nerv so shes sick of it.... when she comes back its bc GENDOBEAK (ravenbeak as gendo) forces her to bc the phazon angels r back and the other pilots need her!!!! and also maybe bc gendobeak has something sinister going on with making her pilot ridley eva... hmmm....

Anyway samus pilots because she is forced to...😒 she was naturally always the best one and is now the only one who ridley eva lets pilot her so great

Gandrayda: she is the second pilot that was chosen to fight in these evas!!! she is kinda the asuka character in this au... she used to be super close with Samus before the varia eva incident so now shes mad bc she left her plus growing resentment because everyone glazes Samus the most out of all the pilots.... tragic yuri indeed.... maybe they can make up...

her eva (alongside rundas) is inspired by their PEDs bc they rlly dont have any association to some mech or suit besides that so..... space nerv experimented with adding phazon to those two evas and are the only ones that have it for better or worse. Gandrayda pilots her eva bc she wants to show off and be a better pilot than Samus.

Rundas: he is the third pilot chosen! he doesnt get in on the whole thing til after samus leaves so they dont meet until samus's return. Bc gandrayda is all distant hes able to have a good friendship with samus! uhmm I dont rlly have a character to associate him with maybe either kaworu or toji?? I guess....

he actually enjoys piloting his eva but often causes problems due to cockiness in battle... WAY TO GO ! also he'd prolly die first to mirror canon sorryyy

F/O Opinions Ask Game

Thank you, Hero, and hi!! I answered ❤️ and 🧡 here, but I'll answer ❤️ again, since I always have headcanons to share!

❤️ - Do you have any headcanons about your F/O? Are they common or not? What inspired them?

I'm the only one to my knowledge who's ever put all that much thought into Madeline's backstory, so her origin as a robot combat prodigy from Earth who met my self-insert online is something I came up with on my own! My lore for that time period is inspired both by canon (like her childhood nickname being Delly, which I explained here) and by a blend of actual friendships and experiences I had at around the age I first got into the Metroid series. (A lot of the inside jokes her and my self-insert share from their youth reference early-2010s internet and gaming culture and memes for that reason.)

I gotta admit, I've also got some headcanons that I've ported from other characters I loved since they seemed like they suited Madeline, too. Since I consider her kind of my "ultimate" F/O, in the sense that in hindsight I feel like I gravitated towards a lot of my past F/Os because of similarities to her, I've taken some tidbits about them and used them to flesh her out in little ways far beyond the scope of the canon narrative:

Her taking up gardening? In addition to working on the thematic level I described in my last post, that was originally a Laurel thing.

She orders her coffee black and her tea strong, just like Kathryn.

Her go-to dessert may be donuts or mochi, but she's nostalgic for rocky road ice cream, like Poppy.

…And she shares Poppy's lifelong trust of robots over people, as reliable beings with functions and roles that make more sense than the human hierarchies she hides her troubles with fitting into and enforcing. (Which makes what ends up happening on the Bottle Ship very ironic.)

And I'm sure I'll think of more!

🖤 - If your F/O has any friends / colleagues / family, how do you feel about them? Would you get along? What's your relationship with them like?

Well, kind of Melissa, but the extent to which Madeline considers her family pre-canon—and whether Melissa would still see Madeline as family if she survives into post-canon—is a whole can of worms that even I'm not 100% sure about at this point. (In fairness, I don't think they would be, either.)

My self-insert would definitely be the one person who sees her more as a human than anyone else on the Bottle Ship, to an extent that even Melissa isn't sure what to make of. I still think this one bit from one of my Selfshiptober fics from last year sums it up pretty well:

Peyton waved to her with a smile. “Hi, Melissa!” Melissa stared for another moment, then lifted a rigid hand to wave back, the slightest smile gracing her face. “Hello.”

And then there's the four colleagues that Madeline was surrounded by in flashbacks. I have some ideas for how I'm going to flesh out their characters and how they each would've interacted with my self-insert, but I'll save that for the fic I plan on writing. (Of course, we all know how that's going to end for them…)

Lastly, this doesn't have the same kind of basis in canon as a lot of my other headcanons, but here's one I've been considering that I haven't told anyone about yet:

Madeline's younger brother.

I mean, they don't look completely the same or anything, but they definitely look like it could be possible, right?

On one hand, the fact that he was the Head Quarantine Officer would imply that his earning that position wasn't a favor the way that my self-insert's role as Madeline's assistant was. On the other, he was so nervous and awkward around Samus that he nearly gave everything away right then and there, and she remembered him specifically when she realized cell samples had been taken from her suit without her knowledge. So, in my canon, his deal could be that she was the one who contacted him and got him involved with getting those samples.

My self-insert would've known him from when they were all teenagers, maybe tagged along to Madeline's robot combat events as a group sometimes. But they wouldn't have been close or anything, and lost contact at the same time that I originally drifted apart from Madeline.

…And I've been thinking there's potential for him to act as a foil for Madeline post-canon. He had enough distance from the consequences of the Bottle Ship Incident to not learn his lesson the way Madeline did, so he could end up just getting further and further wrapped in the continued unethical experiments we see glimpses of in Fusion. After all, we know that not everyone involved was brought to justice. (I mean, he wouldn't have been on the B.S.L. Station itself, because then he'd be dead, but still.)

That'd make my self-insert not get along with him at all, because what the hell, dude, but it'd make for interesting character interactions for sure! (And awkward family gatherings.)
