made versions using the coloring of the sprites for the fusion, gravity, and omega suits too! you can find my varia suit post here

the sprites for these suits are also pretty different from the guidebook, cutscene, and end card art (though the fusion suit is close). I've put examples below:

the omega suit sprite is the most different from it's other appearances. my guess is that the olive green underlayer is meant to look like yellow in shadow, since the finale scene in which it appears is fairly dark. and low-key. it's kind of a vibe? the yellow and orange are great of course, but I've always liked green and orange together :)

the fusion suit looks about the same across depictions, so I'll skip to the gravity suit. instead of the deep teal underlayer in the cutscene and guidebook, the gravity suit sprite sports bright turquoise and green. again, I actually quite like this change. I think it makes sense to pair a dark outer shell with a bright underlayer to keep the segments distinct and readable while playing, which isn't a concern in cutscenes.

To My Binary Star: Thank You for This Past Year Together, and All the Years Before

…Wow. I can't believe it's already been a year since I made this silly little blog. (And somehow the Metroid fandom hasn't killed me yet, lmao!)

It feels like a lifetime has passed since then, and looking at how much I've grown and accomplished in my real life and how much progress I've made in unapologetically loving my near-lifelong fave and her source no matter what anyone says, I know Madeline would be so proud. Maybe it's not much compared to other people my age, but with how she'd probably have to start over her life post-canon, we both know that it's never too late as long as you're alive and every step counts.

Happy anniversary, Lin! Let's make the next year mean just as much~ And to everyone who's taken an interest in my shenanigans and talked to me, thank you so much! It means the universe to me. I'll try to be more active on here again…
