Next Greatest Game Idea: Emblem Warriors
So, you are presumably all aware of the âWarriorsâ franchise. As in the Koei-produced Hack and Slash game series, which include the Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi. As youâve probably noticed as of late, the franchise has been branching out into other franchises: Legend of Zelda, One Piece, Gundam, and Fist of the North Star.
Which probably isnât surprising in the question of what game/anime franchise would get adapted as a Warriors game next. I recall hearing sometime back that Koei had expressed an interest in going for a Super Mario Warriors, while the producer of Pokemon has expressed an interest in maybe going with Pokemon Musou. I believe both ideas could be wonderful if adapted, but both, I feel, lack the right setting for another Warriors game.
Which, as youâve probably guessed, has got me thinking this: Why not Emblem Warriors?
I think this is a brilliant idea, myself. While the Warriors games are somewhat divorced from tactics at times (sans the Empires games, and even then tactics donât take the forefront), at various levels of Fire Emblem, this is also true: depending upon the unit and the game, one could conceivably solo a map, tactics be damned. Granted, Fire Emblem has never hit enemy numbers like the Warriors franchise, but the same could be said for Legend of Zelda and it had a great Warriors game.
While some of you (probably most) will look this post over, I do want to discuss ways I think Fire Emblem could make a great Warriors game. This is going to include things such as pros and cons, plot ideas, and such. Since I know some wonât care, I will put this under a read more, but if you are interested in my ideas, feel free to look on.
