Hey y’all, so I just got some really heartbreaking news. One of my dearest friends, someone who helped me navigate my early transition, reconnect with my Jewish faith and heritage, and who was literally the only person I had in my life looking out for me in a profoundly dark period I probably wouldn’t have survived without her, tried to kill herself on Monday over being unable to cover her rent amidst mounting debt.

While she’s in the hospital recovering, her partner is trying to raise money to help cover these costs in the hopes it helps relieve the considerable pressure that drove her to this point, and it would mean the world to me that she be okay because she is literally the reason I never reached that point in my own struggles.

Right now, they are trying to raise $250 to cover this month’s rent and hope to put whatever else they raise toward resolving some of her debt, so like, if every one of my followers donated just $1, we could cover that expense almost twice over.
