next morning—already the pain has subsided to the point I’m off the oxycodone (same as what happened with my hysterectomy—“One Opiate Ellis” they call me) (they don’t call me that) and feeling darn good except for a scratchy throat and the constant knowledge that There Are Stents In Me
the fish have been uncharacteristically reticent around me.... we think they might think the stent tubes are parasites.....
if all goes well, the stents are coming out today!

just read his backstory side comic and I have a lot of questions but particularly
why was he taking a nap?
why was he taking a nap on the couch in her cell?
why was she clearing dishes away? did they have lunch together?
and then he just....went over and sat on her couch? and fell asleep?
why is she not surprised by that? has he done that before?
why did she think he'd let her call him by the -kun honorific?
why was his objection to it not "that's too intimate" but rather "I'm not human"?
how did they get from her slapping him to couch naps?
given what we see between grimmjow and ichigo, did they start moving towards friendship because she slapped him?
even more than that, how did they get from him tearing out ichigo's heart to her eating lunch with him, greeting him with a smile, and trying to refer to him as a friend?
