honestly coming out as a lesbian has helped me feel more at peace with aging.

straight men are so gross and they see women as disposable objects of desire rather than real people. our heteronormative society had consequently brainwashed me into thinking i could only be "attractive" for a finite amount of years.

but this was only considering men's warped standard of feminine "attractiveness", which it turns out i don't care about at all.

I know women are attractive past 25 years old bc I can see women that I'm attracted to in their 40s, 50s, 60s, etcetera. Kathryn Hahn??? Sarah Paulson??? Gillian Anderson??? Cate Blanchett??? you're going to try and tell me that they aren't "attractive" anymore because they've passed some arbitrary best before date imposed by cisheteropatriarchy??? I'm sorry but that's bullshit. I know because I have eyes.

I absolutely don't care that I'm too old for leonardo DiCaprio now. he, along with all fetishizing straight men, can fuck all the way off and leave me alone. I'd much rather make out with a hot middle aged lady anyway.

I also feel more certain that my partner will find me attractive into my middle age, and I will find her attractive all the same. I'm excited to grow old with my girlfriend and still think she's just as hot at 65 as I did when we were 22.
