At first when I learned we'd be working in water essentially infested with alligators I was a bit hesitant and I thought for good reason, right? It's been a crazy last two days diving into over three years of memories spread across over 20 terabytes of hard drives. It's crazy to see how much has changed over the years. This image here was shot on a GoPro Hero original, my very first camera, in Arches National Park. @justinlieberman and I had just conquered a pretty grueling drive from Denver after a Whiteout had closed down the Interstate. When I made this image of Andrews Wiggins roaring after a massive dunk over Jabari Parker at the Champions Classic two years ago I had no idea what I was doing. What I did know was I somehow had the best job a 21 year old could ask for. The skill set I developed during those two years photographing and interacting with the best athletes and teams in the world help me today when I'm on set, in the field or capturing a wedding. I learned to work efficiently, to anticipate a moment and the importance in communicating your ideas to your colleagues.
