Here is another recent fan art collaboration with comic artist Tyrell Cannon, tcannoncomics. His original inks on left and my colors on the right.
Some fan art for Justin Jordan and Kyle Strahm’s The Spread. Colors by Gerald Proctor. It get’s messy.
I had a great time laying down the colors and testing a few new techniques on this wicked cool piece of fan art drawn by the very talented indie comic artist Tyrell Cannon.
This is a process slice of a recent color project / SPREAD fan art I worked on for my good friend and great comic artist Tyrell Cannon (@tcannoncomics). His original inks are on the right and my color work is on the left. It was a bloody good time!
I will post the final image shortly… until then, ENJOY THE PROCESS.
just a quick selfie…
My good friend, and extraordinary comic artist, Ty (tcannoncomics) sent me this drawing of Diehard (PROPHET inspired version) asking if I'd like take a shot at laying down some color to it.
Here are the results…

Out walking the other night and I came across this interesting sight…
So, I started another H.E.R. collaboration—the forth in this series—and this time I'm paring up with an artist who's done work in the gaming industry! You might've experienced some of her work if you've ever played a little game call "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe."
H.E.R. IV is shaping up real nicely… STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS.

This was a collaboration—a call and response piece that began with a simple image of a mask—between myself and Chicago comic artist Tyrell Cannon.
A total of 6 passes back and forth with a final tally of 30 layers and she is complete. Enjoy!

At home sick sketching this image of my son to help keep my mind off feeling like a xenomorph is trying to rip through my stomach…
This is a work in progress collaboration between myself and comics artist Tyrell Cannon. (http://tcannoncomics.tumblr.com)
We started by me sending him the very first image of the mask and then it was a back and forth with the last image being the most recent state of our collaboration.
Tyrell will be the third artist I've collaborated with in my H.E.R. series—using this same mask as our starter image.
I'm looking forward to seeing what comes back to me after I sent that last image to him and where this work evolves. I'll be sure to share our final image once we reach that point.
Recently, the very talented comics artist Ty Cannon (http://tcannoncomics.tumblr.com) issued a challenge for anyone interested to take a crack at coloring his Prophet fan art. (black & white image)
So, I’m sharing my progress and process so far….
Originally, I planned the image as taking place during the day time but during the process I became curious to see how it could evolve if re-imagined during the night (dusk).
I’ve decided to move forward with BOTH options and will share the completed images soon!
