At this point in my life I’d genuinely prefer being straight up misgendered than my trans identity being erased and being held to the same standards as a cis man. Im not transitioning to be a cis man because a cis man was not socialized and brought up as female. A cis man was not treated by society the way I was. A cis man could never understand the trans identity and the empathy + open mindedness that comes with it. I am a man but thank god im not a cis one

as a psych major + abuse victim I think the backrooms movie was very good and has an outstanding message. If you a piece of shit and your life sucks Because of it, but you don’t want to change because you’re “fine the way you are,” then don’t expect your life to get better. + end apartheid + the mental health field is just as corrupt as everything else in this world + know how to untie a knot quickly + just because someone isn’t showing signs of pain doesn’t mean they can’t feel it + abusers tend to objectify their victims in order to shift the blame

reading reviews and tags of backrooms (2026) makes me so fucking angry omfg. did the message go over everyone’s head????? cycles of abuse????? the immorality of the psychiatric and medical systems???? the horrors of being a woman in patriarchal society???? the horrors of being an abuse victim trying to navigate the world?????? the consequences of trying to ‘fix people’, especially men as a woman, and especially abusers as a survivor????? how trying to fix the abusive system you live under using the tools of that same system doesn’t work??????? how destructive enabling abusive behaviour, even as part of healing to ‘fix’ an abuser, can be????? is anyone listening or do you only care about the random white man!???!?!!!?????
