Honestly? You’re probably right. Gilbert, when he has an audience (’audience’ being defined by anything from a crowd at a party to an exasperated Ludwig in the living room), will shotgun a beer expertly to assert his dominance because it’s the only way he still can.  And drunk Lud is a mess who is probably up for anything, so he’ll undoubtedly follow suit.

Ludwig and Gilbert are both fond of Schlager music. Neither will admit to it, but sometimes, they’ll catch the other listening to it whilst doing the dishes or filing paperwork, and they’ll just... exchange knowing glances.
