When the boat docked beside the shed, I noticed something I hadn't expected.

Keith was... different.

Taller than I remembered. Or maybe it was just his posture. Longer hair, a slightly more defined face. There was something about him that seemed quieter, heavier.

He turned off the engine and climbed onto the deck. He noticed the vehicle and only then did he see me.

For a second, his gaze was completely fixed on me.

Surprise."

Chapter 10 has finally arrived, and Adam was able to have a moment with Keith.

Quando saiu a soundtrack de Wicked For Good, fiquei OBCECADO por "No Good Deed" e nesse meio tempo, estava lendo Dungeon Meshi, e meio que o motivos do Thistle se encaixam com a letra em relação as suas escolhas em favor do "bem" dos outros

When the Wicked For Good soundtrack came out, I became OBSESSED with "No Good Deed" and in the meantime, I was reading Dungeon Meshi, and Thistle's motives kind of fit with the lyrics regarding his choices in favor of the "good" of others.

While chapter 10 is still being revised, here's a piece that's been nagging at me since I heard the monologue in Lana Del Rey's "National Anthem" videoclip, I felt such an Adashi vibe, I imagined an edit with quick illustrations while Lana talks, but how I love lettering, this is what came out :)

P.S.: I absolutely LOVED this illustration of Adam and I was able to reuse it.

Yeaah, we're nearing the end of "THE SPACE BETWEEN US," my Adashi fanfic, and I'm showing you the final cover of the story. This cover was ridiculously crazy to make, I studied rendering tutorials and I think I messed something up, but it turned out great.

To be honest, this story is like fiction therapy; healing literature for me, but if you're interested, it's being updated on Wattpad in Portuguese and on AO3 in English.

The sound of the mug hitting the saucer was dry as I lowered it. My fingers were too tense. I felt something inside me begin to crack.

“Takashi…” for the first time in years, I called him by his first name. “How important am I to you? I’ve been by your side on every mission. In every training session. In every recovery. I’ve encouraged you in everything. Always. Because I love you, but this is more than a mission, it’s your life at stake!”

The question came out before I could soften.

He blinked, caught off guard. “Adam, not this— I don’t need you to take care of me. I want this.”

My vision was already starting to blur, but I continued.

“You don’t need to prove anything anymore. You’ve broken all the records!”

A phrase came to mind: To love is to set free.

"I won't stop you. I would never stop you because I know I can't... But I'm not going through this again."

The next words barely came out.

"If you decide to go, don't expect me to be here when you come back."

The silence that fell after that was devastating.

Em uma brincadeira com o autor @/elielbarberinoautor (IG) do livro "O Verão das Lanternas Celestiais" eu disse que seus personagens tiveram uma encarnação no Período Heian, há mil anos atras, e aqui está a primeira peça do ano, onde os imagino como um samurai sendo o guarda costas de um nobre.

Ah e é também a primeira ilustração com minha nova marca d'água :)

In a playful exchange with @/elielbarberinoautor (IG), I said that the characters in his most recent book, "The Summer of the Celestial Lanterns," had an incarnation in the Heian Period, a thousand years ago, And here is the first piece of the year, where I imagine them as a samurai being the bodyguard of a nobleman.

Oh, and it's also the first illustration with my new watermark :)
