i love how these little tidbits abt sans and toriels relationship clearly puts things into perspective. they’re close enough to be amiable with and prank each other but that comes at the cost of them being absolute little shits to each other. theyre the kind of couple that loves each other dearly but one of them will send shrek x the onceler fanart to the other at 3am and say “its us”. theyre the couple where one of them says “i want a baby” and the other goes “theyre usually chilling outside in shopping carts, how fast can you run?”

thinking about this again and on a more serious note toriel and sans both also use humor to cover up their depression/greif? and like just thinking abt them relating and bonding over that as they grow closer and realizing theyre coming from similar places and like. idk idk.
