If anyone is wanting to join us, starting Monday, May 25th, we are going to come up with our own things to improve on, remove, add, etc. It’s just something to do to keep us in check and to help build a community.
For example: My challenge for 21 days will be only eating out once a week and work out and give it my all at least 4-5 days a week.

It's starting to feel like the only way to make progress is to have some sort of eating disorder.. I only see a handful of people who do it the right way and manage to keep it off. It's just all so heartbreaking for me.
You know where the majority of individuals with eating disorders end up if they don’t recover? Dead. Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate than any other mental illness.
Don’t fall victim to idolizing mental illnesses that destroy lives.
You can lose weight the healthy way . There are more than just a handful of successful stories. You might not like the approach of hard work or the time it takes to lose weight and completely change your life….but it’s gonna be a lot easier to accomplish healthy weight loss than it is to overcome a mental illness.
Other ways to lose weight: cancer, cut off a body part, catch HIV, severe drug addiction/abuse can lead to weight loss too….does all this sound really outrageous?? Because it should. Don’t for one second believe that your life would be perfect if you had an eating disorder. Don’t for one minute allow yourself to be heartbroken that you DON’T have an eating disorder.
You have control of your life! You can make the changes you need to reach your goals and be healthy. People with mental illnesses struggle so much and they would give anything to have the control that you have.
You can be healthy and lose weight. Your life depends on it.

Couch to 5k Day 1
Complete! I am surprised at how in shape I am! By that I mean, I was able to control my breathing and not gasp through counting to 4-- in through the nose and out through the mouth.
It felt so good to move! Walking alone just isn’t cutting it for cardio anymore. I do love my walks, so I will continue those with my husband (who is not interested in learning how to run) as a couple work out. Running will be for me. :)

Thursday weigh-in
I gained .9 lbs. Which doesn’t seem like a lot, but I worked super hard at staying within my points. I still have 43 dailies left, not including activity points (I don’t swap out). The only thing I can think of is water retention? I drink about 2.5 L of water per day, but I have been eating eggs the last few days and I have to salt them, among other salty snacks. Thoughts? How much does water retention affect weight?
Weigh-in tomorrow... I hope it goes well. I feel like I’ve plateaued for the past few weeks, despite keeping myself in check.
I can say that this week I have controlled my intake 5 out of 7 days this week. I’m not talking about starving myself-- I’m not looking to do that. I mean just following my points. Making decisions on what I’m going to eat strictly on points.
I know it takes time, but I would like a result tomorrow that can propel me forward with confidence!
