everyone is valid for feeling whatever they need to feel. for me, right now, i’m at a place where i just have to believe - however naively - that taylor is aware of how hurt we are (regardless of how much is or isn’t her fault) and is working out what to say or do. that’s all i can think right now for my own sanity. i love this blonde cutie so much and that’s just what i need to believe.

I love writing songs because I love preserving memories, like putting a picture frame around a feeling you once had.  I like to use nostalgia as inspiration when I’m writing songs for the same reason I like to take photographs.  I like to be able to remember the extremely good and extremely bad times.
