A fun game I like to play: not go on tumblr for like years, then randomly show up, and read all my old ass drafts that I wrote during very dark times and make myself feel sad again. like, damn. I’ve been through some SHIT dude. Shoutout to me for not being that person anymore though, I’ve come a long fuckin way.
I have a habit of knocking myself out at my own events which is heaps fun. Here’s a video from one I don’t remember much; 2016 Blake Jam
This is probably my favourite BMX photo I shot, and it was on an iPhone 5. Clint Reynolds, Bondi Beach, February 2015.
Little reservoir adventure this past week with one of my good mates. This thing was so much harder to ride than I anticipated, but such a good time!
The Vans contest has quickly become a highlight of the year. The fact that it was at dock this year only made it better. Look forward to riding with everyone next year
It was $5 burrito day yesterday

THE ORIGINAL KING OF FIVE DOCK - PAT PIERCY
As we pack our bags and get ready for the Vans BMX Pro Cup in Sydney, Australia we wanted to bring to light the original King of Five Dock, Pat Piercy.
Pat passed away in 2013 at the age of 45 from heart complications but the legendary legacy that he created lives on throughout the Australian scene. Pat absolutely dominated the bathtub-shaped bowl section at Five Dock, especially from 1983-1987, (That bowl was first built in 1981).
The park has since been added to in the early 2000′s which will be the section we use for our event. That early section is still there though (Known by the locals as the ‘Deathbowl’), so if you’re in town for the event, please take a lap for Pat and keep in mind that Pat was known for hitting 8ft + airs in that thing back in the 80′s!
Thanks to Ross Lavender at UnScene for connecting us with Michael Nieland and sharing some information with us. And thank you to photographer Jim Brock for supplying these images and for capturing the thriving Australian BMX scene in the 80′s.

I first saw these photos of Pat about 3 years ago, and they haven’t stopped blowing me away. That bowl is gnarly, and those bikes were horrible. Know your roots
