So Agent Stone hates other humans. Mostly because they are stupid. And many of the rules they revolve their lives around are also stupid. Being forced to follow those rules and interact with imbeciles pisses him off.

But Stone is a professional. Always.

Which means that him acting out/rebelling tends to be ....interesting.

I'm talking malicious compliance. Following the rules to the letter and doing exactly what is asked of him.

But also quietly but clearly rebelling against so called "norms".

Turning up for a public bodyguard assignment of a sexist asshole in a skirt. Being exactly on time so there is no forcing him to change clothes or swapping him with someone else.

Wearing dresses and beautiful make up to stop more of his (bigoted) colleagues from talking to him outside of the essential. (The thing is, Stone doesn't give a fuck about gender norms. And skirts and dresses are so easy to move in! Him acting out only means that he lets others know exactly how little he cares for stupid rules that restrict him).

Buying body products that smell soft and delicate, the opposite of how he comes across strangers.

Forcing rude people to stay in line when they act up. Loudly and publicly shaming them for their behavior.

Turning up at a Nazi bar in stilettos and wiping the floor with everyone inside using ONLY his shoes (as if he would make his Hands dirty by touching them).

Not shaking the hands of imbeciles (even superiors) who insulted him.

-> I firmly believe Stone was assigned to Robotnik in an attempt to straighten him out. Turns out, Stone actually likes the doctor and the doctor doesn't dislike Stone so now there are two menaces

-> Stone also honestly just likes feminine stuff. Once he finds out that the Doctor doesn't care, he starts keeping not until suits as a back up in the lab, but also a few dresses.

->Robotnik even makes stuff for Stone that consider his preferences! The lab shower now has shampoo smelling like vanilla and raspberry soap. The watch he made Stone has tiny engravings of tea cups and clouds. There's even a bullet proof ballroom dress!

Stone gets pulled into Eggmans universe but unlike his Robotnik, Eggman recognizes Stones worth almost immediately. At the beginning? Absolutely terrifying, constantly threatening Stone just by showing him how easily he could crush him with his bare hands, or destroying whoever with his machines.

But Stone makes him the best coffee he's ever had in his life, cooks for him three times a day, knows how to fix and clean and program the badniks, and takes care of all of Eggmans needs without ever being asked.

Which gets Eggman thinking, wow, the other version of me was a lucky man, having Stone around like this, probably married him before the end if the way Stone talks about him is anything to go by. He starts catching feelings for Stone but holds back like, "I don't want to make it weird for Stone, he does so much for me."

Then eventually Stone very casually tells him how badly his Robotnik treated him all the time...

And Eggman is livid.
