yan! slasher au twisted wonderland x reader. you shouldn’t have downloaded that slasher horror game from god-knows-which suspicious site. now you’re in the game, in the body of a student, in detention — you’re meant to die as the first victim, but in the light of your new predicament, you’ve got other plans for yourself.
♡ The first thing you think of when you wake up in an overly familiar detention room is why the fuck did I play that game?
♡ It’d been an innocent endeavour at first. A small pop-up in the corner of your screen vying for your fleeting attention. Final Survivor.exe? How cliché. You downloaded it. You liked it. You hoped it didn’t have a virus. That should’ve been the end of it, really, but against all odds, here you are, watching the scene replay in front of you like a doomed spectator. You now wish it did have a virus.
♡ With a tincture of relief, you realize you remember the plot clearly, the main character was Yuu, and by that definition, the final survivor — true to its name. You, on the other side, looking at your gloved hands and the splashy makeup embellishing your face, cast in the very intricately-decorated compact mirror you own, are the first victim. A victim with a name, a death that sets off a chain reaction but is unmeaning in nature - a Pomefiore member whose murder was skimmed over. But all you can think of is: why the fuck did I play that game? Sure, you were curious. Sure, you liked it. You’re a diehard horror lover, but that does not entail a luck as doomed as this, does it?
♡ Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no. You’re going to die. You want to cry. You want to wail and jump out the window. You’ve lots of qualms about the dorm placement too. You? Pomefiore? You couldn’t have gotten it any worse. You and the mere mention of Pomefiore does not mix. Never has, never will. Come to think of it, had said dorm even expressed grief over the death of the first victim? There wasn’t any mention of them after their purpose was served, which is to say, their purpose: die. That’s all you’re here for. Without your death, you serve no purpose. Without your death, there is no plot. You’re going to die. That is final. Unchanging, even.
Opening your lids once more, feeling the sting of salt-born dampness that has yet to spill freely, you take a clear look at your surroundings. The brightness takes you by surprise, and your vision is spotty- but soon enough, you realize one thing.
You’re in a detention room.
Well, that was.. expected.
♡ Funny enough, you don’t understand why there’s even one here. Plot convenience, you suppose.
♡ The next thing you feel is the warmth of the sun on the bare of your skin, the one thing grounding you to this place- unspooling over you like a shroud. Furnished with rows of desks and chairs, detention fits the quintessential type you’d find in any wacky slasher movie, with motivational posters ejected out onto walls and a large grandfather clock staring all of your peers down. The window overlooks Night Raven’s verdant field below, with some students relishing in their freedom. This is supposed to be your deathbed, and as per your fate, you watch the clock’s black arcs slicing the afternoon into agonizingly slow increments.
♡ A couple of candles sputter, and your purse sits on your desk. There's a cute little lip balm in it, a bunch of cosmetics, and things you don’t even know about. Isn't that justtt peachy?
♡ It’s a visual reminder that while time is moving, it was in no hurry at all. You still have some time left. You don’t how much, you only know one thing. You don’t want to die. You can’t die. You don’t want to go out so brutally, so horribly, so hopelessly. This is not how you imagined it.
“Dude, I don’t even understand why they put me in here with these guys.” Grumbles a familiar voice. “ ‘S not like this is the first time the cafeteria’s seen a food fight.”
“You threw an entire tray at the headmage’s face.”
“That was an accident, okay? Sure, the tea may have been hot, but I seriously doubt it got past his feathers. Sue me.”
♡ Ace Trappola sits not far from you! He’s the closest, in fact. You remember why he’s in here, guilty as charged, the headmage snapped after his third food fight. He’s chatting Yuu’s ear off — you realize you have no idea as to why they’re here — (it was never expressed clearly in the game, then again, you didn’t make it past the remainder of the storyline) — with his leg propped up on his table and his arms folded behind his head. Yuu sits on that same table, from the sight alone, anyone’d know they’re quite close. It’s the same reason Ace had survived alongside Yuu.
♡ The rest are far from you, though you doubt anything could elude Rook Hunt’s ears, your Vice Housewarden. Found hiding in the rafters of another dorm. You remember when you’d died, he’d been the first to act, propping you up and taking charge just to save you a brutal end. Comforted you in his own way- though you seriously do not want to think about that right now. He’s staring out a window, typical. Speaking of typical, Azul is the farthest, having been exposed by virtue of his unauthorized business activity. He does not deign anyone a glance, resolving to write down.. something onto the pieces of paper everyone has on their desks.
♡ The loudest one is Sebek, even when he’s far away, you can hear his voice like he’s yelling into your ear.
You nearly face-palm.
♡ Ugh! When playing the game initially, you did not think of how horrible this team actually was. They were the worst match, and always managed to get caught up in deep waters, the kind whose sheer amount of stupidity you’d yell at. You were playing as Yuu then, so you didn’t fret over things like that, but the events have taken a drastic turn now, and you’re at one of the biggest disadvantages in the history of mankind... You're not playing this game from Yuu’s perspective anymore— you’re not guaranteed survival, you’re guaranteed death, and the clock’s still ticking.
♡ You mull it over for a second. How did the first victim even die? You remember this character... had taken a sip of some tea, traditional Pomefiore style, and had suffered a reaction. It hadn’t been described what type. A seizure? Something else? The staff only ascertained one truth: it had clearly been tampered with, and off they went. But who handed them the tea? No, there’s a little teacup set positioned in one of the corners, maybe having been left by its earlier residents - your character had taken the tea themselves. But if it was tampered with.. it was surely meant for the first victim. Ugh! One of the major cons of this is that you don’t know shit about this Pomefiore person, except that they’re..
♡ .. Not all that relevant? You’re going to be a goner at this rate. Miraculously enough, the first victim had survived the ordeal, but then had been subsequently murdered in the Nurse’s Office. You remember the art, a brutish display of crimson and bone-deep gashes, but flick the thought away amid the constriction of your throat. Your heart is beating, erratically, voraciously, helplessly.
A chair scrapes.
“You have remained unusually silent today.”
You blink, a slow realization creeping upon you. You stare into the eyes of your Vice Housewarden, who stares back with his signature, elusive smile. The light limns the countours of his face as he takes his seat, unsolicited, opposite you, chin perched upon his gloved hands.
“You would ordinarily have offered at least three remarks regarding their appearances by now. My, it appears you've forgotten your daily critique.” Delighted, he closes his eyes and professes. You don’t know what to do, so you gulp down the water amassing in your eyes and give him an equally watery smile. He seems surprised. “..How moving! I knew today's sunlight felt particularly transformative!”
♡ Why did he..? Oh, wait! What did he say? You’d have ordinarily offered three remarks regarding their appearance. That’s right. That’s one of your character’s innate qualities.
♡ They were mean. Not overtly so, but in the ways you could feel it. Self-conceited, two-faced, if you will. Anyone could dislike them, and anyone could want to dispose of them- it’s no surprise they died the way they died but.. this is a slasher game, isn’t it? If the first victim’s death came with the price of several others being ticked off, then it wasn’t merely a revenge kill, was it?
Whatever. You don’t why you’re worrying about this.
Your gaze drifts to the teacup set. Porcelain dotted with details of blooming flowers and muted shades of colour-- just don’t drink the damn tea, you’ll worry about the rest later! How hard can this be?
How about a yuu who's body is rejecting the food in Twisted Wonderland?
Yuu's world is different and we're all wlaware of that, right? Because of the differences in their worlds and Yuu not being able to handly the food there; Yuu starts getting sicker and sicker. Yuu came to NRC with meat on their bone and towards the third month they're severely underweight.
In book 1, they were fine. Of course they couldn't stomach most of the food that was given to them and ended up giving it to Grim. They lost most of their energy and blacked out a couple of times in Vargas's class but who are we to tell? After Riddle overblots, Yuu seems to be more ravenous.
In book 2, Yuu was going through it. Yuu could barely stand up straight, let alone walk right. Yuu struggling to move was starting to get concerning. They literally cannot stomach anything. They had Trien's class after and stepped in before everyone else and threw up immediately. Not to mention the whole mysterious accidents happening throughout the school. Their hair started falling out and they ended up getting more angry. They starts wearing a beanie during school and when they found out it was Leona, Yuu thought it was over. NO, fuckass cat and ghosts participated in the tournament after his overblots and then they ended up in the nurse's office half dead.
SOMEHOW they managed to the third month,deadass when they had that dream of Ursula they gave up. Yuu dropped Grim off with Ace and Deuce and went to the woods behind the school. They really wanted to lay in the Botanical gardens but they didn't want to stink up the place if they died. So they went to the woods and found a nice pretty spot and stared at everything as hunger consumed them.
Of course,Yuu thought of their home, their family,and their friends. Everyday they knew they weren't going home. They knew it and they believed that Crowley would've sent them home as they got worse. They shouldn't have made it this far. This world hurt them and they couldn't have helped it otherwise.
Hai hai hiii!!! How are you guy's day?? Anyways!! Here's a drabble of Yuu who's switching bodies..
Yuu who came to their world looking as normal as can be nut when Grim set the place on fire and the attention wasn't on them,they turned into someone else.
Example: Yuu came to NRC as the shrimp right? Next time anyone sees them, they're a fully articulate person within the five minutes they were gone. Safe to say the cast is confused about this. It was a few minutes that they were gone though.
Each time yuu disappears, they always end up looking completely different. Like one second they're a shrimp, then they're someone's oc?
Yuu once was in Crewel's class and left for 5 minutes to use the restroom. They came back and was someone else entirely. Everyone just learned to accept it atp because Yuu isn't aware of it and thinks they look the same every time.
MI imagine Yuu would be absolutely amazed during book 5, something like "OMG OMG OMG I have cute boys in my dorm~"

Yuu's like the more flirtatious version of Rook.
During the entrance ceremony, when yuu came out of the coffin they were immediately scouting the students. They didn't even care about being in another world. The fact that their in a school ful of attractive people makes them feel nice.
While Rook was praising Grim, they were flirting with nearly everyone. Their eyes landed on Leona and first asked with a wink, I don't know your name so could you tell me so I know what I'm gonna yell out later?" They were then moved to the other side of the room.
Obviously, with each book came an even flirting Yuu. During book 1, they repeatedly asked Riddle if they could be his king before and after his overblot. They asked to see Leona in the locker room after the spell drive match. They loved seeing Azul flustered in book three so anything was a flirtatious comment from them. In Book 4, they kept asking Jamil if he loves them because of the saying food is the way to the soul and he like made a feast or smth.
In book 5, EVERYONE had it bad. When Yuu first heard of the SDC, they were like oh cool. Then they found out Vil was doing it. THE VIL. Yuu went to the auditions but not to audition but to eye shop.
When they were asked to be the manger of the team, they were ecstatic. Crowley didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence before yuu yelled out "I'LL DO IT OH EM GEE. Seven beautiful guys in my dorm is a dream. Don't even have to threaten me this time."
When they were in Ramshackle yuu would lay on the ground in front of them with their feet in the air. Obviously checking them out, they know it but can't help but grin knowing they have Yuu's attention.
Top ten ways to get Yuu to lock in, "Yuu, if you ______ I'll give you a video of the boy's while they're locked in.
Despite being super flirty, they stare. A LOT. If someone looks at Yuu in the middle of class, Yuu is already staring back. They even blow a kiss because everyone is Yuu's pookie. 🥹🫰
Hello I adored your two part Overblot world series and it has made me thirst for Overblot content!
So if the OBs were able to catch the reader, what would they do with them?
We know Leona wanted them as a pillow and Idia wanted to marry them but is that it? All the OBs we saw got interrupted before they even finished. Besides, what would they have done afterwards? How would they treat the reader as a spouse/king/queen/player 2/sultana?
In short, I'd like hcs of the entire OB squad for what they would do to the reader if they had caught them without being interrupted.

The prime dream for OB Leona and the original one is that he has everything he deserves
Had he gotten to finish his nap before someone interrupted he would of gotten to savor the fact that you’re here and begin talking about the future of your kingdom together
After all what kind of King would he be if he couldn’t sit back and laze all day
Finally with you at his side, this destitute land of sand will have some shape
Some purpose
Because even complete dominion is boring without someone to share with

Weirdly enough other than biting more than cute nipping

Basically he’s been huffing copium He’s built this elaborate place and machinery to match all with the dream to be THE ULTIMATE FINAL BOSS
Sucking all of the Overblots into the Abyss, their final gift to the newly happy married couple
Hence the erratic speedy wedding that OB Idia puts you through
Any doubts he would have had about you even wanting this is excused by fate
Somehow it’s perfectly aligned that you would arrive during the completion of the Abyssal portal
Ready to quickly tie the knot before Idia’s plan to wipe everyone else out of existence
“We’re the only players here! The Alpha, the Omega, the Hero and the Villain…just you and me!”
Reigning in an empty reality with Idia doesn’t get boring persay but it’s a slippery slope
Endlessly Idia needs to be assured that you wholeheartedly agree with all he’s done
Sent into a spiral the more he’s confronted with what he’s done
Of course with your crown and OB Ortho constantly whispering in his ear, he will never entertain the truth of what he’s done
Should the machine on your head break and you can finally speak up for yourself he won’t believe you
Not unless you play into his delusion
With the empty world as the abyss leaves Idia does get bored
Not particularly fond of the simple survival type games, he’s going to automate everything
And knowing his dedication it won’t be long before the OB world is populated by his creations all sharing a sliver of the corrupted soul of Ortho’s who may be the only one aware of what you truly want
“What?! Did you think with new creations my dear brother’s control would change. Folly you foolish player! The NPCs that are here will never help you escape!”
Azul Ashengrotto
OB Azul has simmered with the crazed control he was vanquished with
Concocting contracts with whoever he sees fit without their say so and stealing their abilities
The only ones this power of his doesn’t work on without some exceptions are the other OBs
So then you may ask why all the fanfare with you?
Well it’s a culmination of the thing he’s been hoping to do so since the beginning
This was all because of you
Because you wouldn’t lay down and let him have Ramshackle
You had to get that lion involved and defy him on two ends
Destroying his precious contracts in the process
He was livid
He is livid
But that doesn’t squash the goal to one day have you sign a contract to bind you to him forever
Why wouldn’t he want the only person to fulfill a contract so quickly by his side
Someone bright enough to rally others to defy him
How exciting! He has to have you
Considering it’ll be the perfect compensation for all the trouble you gave him
Robbing him of both his minions? All his contracts? His dignity?
He’s owed something!!
And he knows the perfect prize will be you
“Are you forgetting? All contracts I want to be are and if I will it our marriage contract is already signed!”
But what better packaging to put all the contracts on his new spouse, who’s unruly and defiant enough to have sent all the leading OBs in this banished barren world

Each pearl is the sacred and very specific contracts he does have over the other OBs
What better place to not only show off his ownership of your hand but to also protect his most prized contracts
He knows more than anyone that none would hurt you
All that needed to happen was for him to write the many many many many clauses attached to this marriage contract

Marvel at the underground network he’s built that has eyes and ears in all the realms creating the most elaborate network with faceless subjects of the inky realm
As his new spouse you’re scheduled to help run this operation now
So it helps if you’re a little proud of it right?
Life with OB Azul isn’t terrible he does listen when you speak and he won’t immediately dismiss when you come to talk to him
Though part of his contract does allow him to take your voice if he wishes for short periods of time of course
Usually he likes to hear what you have to say it helps him predict what others might find as weaknesses
He’ll also likely look into giving you an aquatic form once your entirely complacent of course
If you had eight extra limbs to defy him he doubts he’ll be able to stop you
Nonetheless he’ll accept your help even if it’s reluctant
Because above all else he’s never felt so seen than by you
“Don’t get too comfortable knowing this side of me, clearly you don’t know how cruel I can be!”
Vil Schoenheit
The most beauteous queen with none fairer than he
Has rued the day his schemes were unveiled and thwarted
The spud he selected to be his King defying him when it came down to it, how scandalous
But Queens are known for their endurance during such trying times
With you in his grasp Vil wants nothing more than to complete your transformation to the King you're meant to be
But alas how can he even begin to help you when your enemies continue to grab at you
Not to mention the betrayal from his other greatest confidant hammering the idea down
Vil refuses to leave any others standing
Fully preparing elaborate schemes to poision the masses so that he may tailor your transformation to a mirror of perfection
Thus he attempts to put you in a place known best by he
The mirror
With nothing as advanced as social media, Vil relies on the mirrors for everything
For his beauty maintenance, for spying, for potion creation
So where better than there to have sleep in
There he’s free to eliminate enemies without your pestering
“Awake my King. Your transformation is nigh!”
Should you have made it to an ideal future that Vil would achieve
You’d be helplessly loyal to him
Potions meant to warp the mind would be apart of your daily diet
Endlessly making him the center of your world
Forced to dote on him endlessly, he believes that then he will be fulfilled
If there is any to contest his beauty it would be yours but your heart would belong to him thus making he the owner of all true beauty remaining in this dark desolate realm
Under the potions influence he may allow some resistance
Like minor whining about the clothes and routines
But you physically can never question his militaristic moves
Which you might feel inclined to speak upon when those under his rule begin to suffer
Or when he plans to lock all the OBs into a mirror and melt the broken fragments
His cruelty you cannot dissuade and you’re love will not waver from him
And perhaps in the black depths of your pupils he’ll see the true you and kiss at your eyelids sweetly
“My King, it’s a Queen's job to have a heart as black as mine. It’s your job to tend to that.”
Jamil Viper
Ever the brilliant strategist and manipulator knows that on his own his power can be beaten easily
Before he gets the chance to hypnotize his enemies they’ve already trapped him in a mirror or stolen his power through contract or turned him to sand
So he knows he must think smarter
Taking advantage of his ability, it isn’t long before he knows all of the OB’s plans for you
All of which more than likely will never be given an opening to get you again so he leverages the one thing that they all hesitate to challenge: Malleus Draconia
While under usual circumstances holding a conversation with the OB King of the Briars isn’t really possible
There is one way to get his attention
And that’s by submitting yourself to his thousand year sleep
So Jamil sets his hypnotized pawns in place before agreeing to sleep
All to propose the deal to the contemplative dragon who struggled even before to give you a dream tangible enough to be happy
“It is due to their uniqueness that you weren’t able to keep them asleep…to keep them appeased.”
“What of it Viper!?”
“I can help with that.”
The plan was a truce, one where their collective magics worked together to keep you in an endless dream one that kept you happy to be with them
The mixture of his absolute hypnotism and Malleus’ dream capabilities work seamlessly to put you at ease
To make the memories of confusion and displacement muddled while you live carelessly with them
Uninterrupted this works perfectly, your brain doesn’t find a hint of discord when they occupy your attention
Disrupting your confusion when you have two separate weddings
Of course Jamil loses the freedom to have you all to himself with this dealings
But the ever sly Jamil’s plan is not over
Through light suggestion, not even with the use of his magic does he need to convince the dragon of the dangers that come with letting the other OBs run free
So it is the dragon who must wake and defend their paradise, allowing Jamil to have his much desired alone time
He can’t put too much favor but he certainly leads you on
To adore him more than his counterpart
So that should he not return and you finally wake from your sleep, to find Jamil freeing you from the mirror you’ll be taken with him all the more
Infatuated as he is with you, you’ll even help him with his schemes of becoming Sultan of the lucky few who survived Malleus
By then Jamil’s power will not even be necessary and when you look into eyes it is the realest love he will receive
And it will be all his
Just like the OverBlotted realm
“Servant turned Sultan with the grandest jewel of the Sahara at my fingertips.”
“Just as you deserve it!”
“Just as I deserve.”
Malleus Draconia
So long he’s spent lamenting on the plan he had
For it to unravel with you haunts him so gravely
Endlessly dreaming of what paradise he must concoct to facilitate your eternal peace
But even in his dreams you escape, you run, you resist him futility
He hates it
When the Viper proposes his services, he so badly wants to refuse
To rejoice that he’s downed one of his adversaries which may yet still defeat him should they band together just like last time
But he can’t deny that his dear child of man is much too sharp, too suspicious, to be soothed by even a realistic dream
Not without the strict direction of hypnotism
“There my human is this garden to your liking? I planted this all for you.”
He doesn’t seem to mind Jamil being there after a while because it only serves to show off your splendor
As you care for his human error and are kind where he is not
Of course with negotiation he does get time alone where he’ll use the smallest bits of magic to infuse your soul to his own that’s not exactly agreed upon by the other party
Making him more in tune to your desires and he to your own
It won’t be long until he does decide to retrieve more than just your mind, pulling you from the mirror
Safely in his clutches, next he entraps Jamil as well
Of course still sleeping soundly both of you will be unaware to the actions of split consciousness
Pouring his power into making an even wider wall of briars that grows ever minute putting all in it’s path to sleep
By then it won’t be long before he’s on the edge of each realm,using every unplugged nook and cranny to his advantage
But that’s not all his meddling does, he also turns his attentions his helpful partner
Making good on their deal he doesn’t kill him in fact he let’s him still spend time with you
But he uses the intense layering of dreams to hide the real you, leaving your true self to Malleus’ dream
He can’t full erase the Viper but he doesn’t let him get in the way of the eternity he’s working on crafting for you
With Jamil’s inexplicit assistance he will have a dream where you finall embrace the title of his one true love and fellow ruler of the briars
Where you’ll sleep beside him for all eternity in an endless dream
“Thousands or tens of thousands will go by with me at your side. Sleep beside me, my dear child of man.”
Riddle Rosehearts
The only one of his OB counter parts to know the most about their predicament
Well aware that they are summoned from the residue of their defeated manifestation OB Riddle doesn’t let himself get caught up in the existential dread of being a cheap clone meant to scare you from going home
Instead makes plans to stop you from returning to the original Twisted Wonderland, carefully securing the entrance back to your world and eventually you
The one with the greatest force of faceless ink cards he uses his dominion to overwhelm the other OBs
to put stress on them so that they let their guards down, letting them attack one another until he finds an opening
Making something stronger for your connection to this world
Choker, crown, and clothes included he basically has you completely at his mercy
The fear of the first Over Blot you ever experienced instilling an inherent fear that keeps you playing along
“So quiet my King. A while back you would have given me such a fuss.”
The sadism that occasionally makes itself known within Riddle Rosehearts makes a horrific debut as he delights in your helplessness
Smug in your defeat and the victory he has over the ones who even bothered making him
“I’LL SHOW THEM! THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE BROUGHT ME BACK IF THEY DIDN’T PLAN TO BE COLLARED AND OBEY!”
With no interruption he would have broken the mirror and scattered the shards
Sending them far away as he crafts the world in the rule abiding image he demands
Collaring all who don’t immediately bow their heads
And before long he’ll begin to add new rules that further restrict the movements of his subjects as he plans to fell all the other realms
All with you at his side
“My King, don’t despair. Their beheadings will be a private showing…they are not worthy to taint those eyes of yours.”
Life alongside Riddle isn’t easy but it also isn’t as hard
