Dream and Nada in The Sandman episode 2.01
— going to miss the faves quite dearly
I have plans that I cannot share with you right now, because the haters will sabotage me.
twisters (2024) dir. lee isaac chung
— movie: i absolutely ate up this movie, and the soundtrack is truly the main reason why. it made me want to go out into stormy weather and get a rush reaaaall bad. the dialogue was sadly stale though :( and i still loved it regardless.
Alicent Hightower & Rhaenyra Targaryen. No, I will not elaborate.
wicked (2024) dir. jon m chu
— movie: i needed more intimacy between elphaba and her magic. that broom scene would have been ten times more beautiful if the camera was just closer to the subjects. that simple item symbolized the entire arc of the film: elphie's past, present, and future IS her magic. it's not just an extension of herself anymore, it is an essential part of who she is and who she is going to be. i needed that broom to feel like part of her. because it IS!!! the atmosphere was so beautiful though, it truly felt like the barbie movies i grew up watching. very wistful in nature.
— plot: so freaking incredible. zero complaints here, i absolutely loved elphaba and glinda's evolution. though the pacing was slow, i give it some grace because i know the second movie will hit the ground running.
— remaining thoughts: i neeeed to read the book now!
