Irey wonder around the shop looking at the clothes. She heard talks about the place and she wanted to get a good look of it herself. The girl turned to look at the other as they talked about lavender, something she didn’t know much about. “Um no not really. I never knew about lavender helping with sharpening the mind and other stuff. I thought it was just a pretty plant. What else does it do? Are there other plants like that too?” She asked curiously.
“Well, it’s always nice to learn something new, right?” And Sally had quite the store of knowledge which she was more than eager to share when it came to those who would listen. Her eyes brightened at the questions, fingers gently lacing together as she hummed in thought. “Let’s see, lavender can be good for memory, and it can help purify the skin, so it’s made into a lot of essential oils and bath soaps. And there are tons of other plants that have so many different properties - Chamomile of course, is great in tea and settling the stomach, as well as peppermint. Honestly, I could probably talk your ear off about more but, I’d hate to wear you out. But I try to keep at least some plants in stock myself, just in case somebody wants to purchase them for whatever reason,”

Sally: Jasper? Honey, whatever is going on, you can tell us. You can tell ME. I’m your mom, that’s what I’m here for. No matter what, you know you’ll always have me, right? Or, you don’t even have to tell me right away, but please, just come home. So I know that you’re okay? Please...

Sally’s mothering instincts immediately kick in, gently tutting as she moves to shrug off her coat. Underneath is a rather thick, wool sweater; besides that, she doesn’t find herself catching a chill that often. “You should always carry a jacket, just in case. Then again, that’s probably just the mom in me talking. Still,” She slips her parka around the others shoulders, as if it’s the most casual motion in the world. “Better?”

“Of course you can,” There’s a momentary pause, wherein Sally reaches out to brush pale fingers against her son’s cheek. “You can always come home, silly. Always,”

nothing his mother could make would ever be a disappointment to him. all the time that went into it, the love, it meant the entire world to jasper. he had truly been lucky to have jack and sally take him in when he needed it the most. his smile is soft, full of love for his mother, enjoying the simple touch. being human made touches feel different that would be back in halloween town. a good different, at the very least. something new. “thank you, mom.” jasper takes the seat offered to him, elbows settling onto the counter. there’s really only so much that he could say given the situation that he found himself in. “it does seem like forever, doesn’t it?? i’ve been alright. dealing with this whole being human thing. rather odd. what about yourself?? how have you been holding up??”
"Of course," The endless amounts of clothing she had crafted for her young ones - and they would always be so, no matter how old they actually got - was innumerable. Of course they could now shop for their own items, but there was nothing quite like receiving a home made gift. After all, what better way to get them to come down to the shop than saying she had something to give them? Once Jasper is seat, Sally takes a skirt she'd been working on and begins again, nodding. "That's something we can both agree on. I'm not sure if I'm less or more accident prone in this form, but I don't think I really mind it. Although needing to eat so many times a day is something I'm still getting used to. Do you have a favorite food, dear? I don't know if I've ever asked you that..."

✵ ── strolling through the compact store, it felt dark and gloomy - something that the young teen was already used to. she wasn’t particularly wanting something here, it was more of a little browse around. her closet wasn’t as exciting nowadays, considering it was just a color scheme of black and red. her hands moved against the clothes, observing something that might catch her eye for her to buy. turning her head, she looked at the woman, giving a small smile. “is it really?” gwen loved the scent of lavender, but she didn’t know it wasn’t just only the scent that made it beneficial. “in that case, do you have any for me to buy? i’d love to snag some. it’ll be great for my roomie down at auradon prep.”
Though business was sometimes slow, Sally never took it as a sign to stop working. She was constantly busying herself with tending to and tidying up the shop, and at the moment had taken to assorting a bouquet of black tulips and lavender. They actually went quite well together, she found, though paused at the younger's voice. "Oh yes, and good for many other things as well. And of course!" She had just picked up a bunch from the local florist, it wouldn't hurt to give some of it away. Taking a small plastic bag, she placed the plant inside, tying the end with a black and white ribbon. "Hopefully she'll appreciate it. If not, you can always come back and see what else I have in stock. Other than this, are you finding everything alright?"
wickedlyevil:
♕ ── evie would probably kill mal if she saw her shop for clothes in another store. practically everything in her closet was made by her best friend, but it didn’t kill to just shop for a bit. fashion wasn’t something the pixie was an expert in, if the colors fit her color scheme, then it was an automatic purchase. “lavender, huh?” mal cocked her head to the side, looking at the young woman who could’ve been the owner. “i never got the chance to really get a hands on experience with it when i used to have my spellbook,” she mentioned, as she her eyes guided back to the clothing rack.
Sally's interest perked up the moment she heard 'spellbook', widened blue eyes falling upon the other. "Oh, you had a spellbook? Honestly, I've never been well-versed in spells, only potions and the like. But I'm sure you could still find a good use for many herbs and plants, with or without magic. That's the amazing properties of certain organics," Watching as she went through the racks, Sally took a moment to reach beneath her counter, pulling out a small catalog of varying information on flora. "I've kept a diary of most of my discoveries, just in case something happens and I may forget one day, or to help others if they find themselves needing a little information,"

Boo had no particularly bitter feelings towards Sally, it was her husband that was the source of all their ire. That was why Boo decided to hold off on the big reveal. “ ‘M looking for something casual,” they answered, glancing around the assortment of unique clothing. It was definitely preferable to all the oddly plain clothing they sold in the other Auradon shops but Boo had never been one for fashion either way.
Catering to her customers happened to be something Sally found herself with a knack for. Although everybody had varying tastes and styles, there was nearly something for anyone in her shop. "Casual, huh? I think we can work with casual - Oh, over there are a couple of jeans and t-shirts, along with these that I'm putting out right now. And don't worry, the material is comfortable as well," Sometimes with the unique stitching and patterns, it was hard to tell whether or not the clothes would actually feel nice. But Sally prided herself on boasting both comfort and looks. "And if you need shoes, they're just a little ways back over there," she motioned, smiling before going back to folding a stack of shirts.
“I have my belief, and in all its simplicity that is the most powerful thing.”

no, that was something even the god could not argue against given some of the proof of it. four of the children had already turned their backs on everything they had been taught growing up. there could easily be others like that should they choose it. “perhaps. they’re not our problem.” more important matters were at hand. “those who have joined with us know full well of the consequences should they do anything not asked of them. they all know the importance of what we are doing here. none of them broke during the arrest process, nor has anything come up. i fully agree that losing any progress would be a disappointment but this only works if we all work as one. those who betray us or spill any secrets will be handled.”
That part was true enough. And he supposed there was no point in being paranoid over what had yet to occur. "For now," Hans agreed, although he still couldn't help but give into the sinking suspicion that there were loose ends left untied. Perhaps he was going based more off of his own past experiences, but he simply didn't want to take any chances when it came to things. "That's exactly why I'm concerned. Those children who were taken into custody didn't give anything up - yet. But what if it's another child whose less inclined to keep their mouth shut? Or worse, one of the weaker lackey's decides to betray us? All I'm saying is, it doesn't hurt to carry a little insurance - aside from threats. Something to keep the heroes busy for a while,"

Rapunzel was reading her lesson plan, not really like she followed it but it was god to have, when she bumped into someone. “I’m alright I wasn’t looking where I was going. Are you okay? Need to go to the hospital or anything?”
A somewhat amused laugh fell past Hans' lips. "No, nothing that serious, I'm sure. Just a slightly bruised ego I suppose," As he eyed the brunette, he could have sworn she appeared familiar, but he kept quiet about it for the moment.

Salem had a lot of guilt building up in every single pore of his body. He had yet to tell his parent’s of his new ability as a human and not to mention the addictive habits he was hiding. Thankfully, his mother always warned him before coming to visit so he had been able to take the bare minimum of his daily dose of drugs to keep himself sane but at least of a somewhat sound mind. It was a good thing odd behavior was the usual for him, drugs or no drugs. “Fascinating?” He repeated in a questioning tone, as he continued to search through the clothing patches. Salem loved simply sitting with his mother as she worked, playing with the fabrics as he listened to her speak. “I liked being a ghost. Easier to scare people that way,” he mumbled like a petulant child.
Fingers deftly sewed through the varying colors of fabric, melding two completely different patterns into one piece. No matter how oddly matched they appeared, the final product always looked good to Sally. There was a whimsical positive in the oddity of her creations; no one looked alike, and no one else in Auradon would dare sell them. Which, she thought was a true shame, but it had been the reason which spurred her to open up a shop all of her own in the first place. A soft 'mhm' sounded from her as she continued to work, glancing up every few seconds to catch Salem's gaze. "Oh, I'm sure you can find new ways to give people a good spook. This is a chance for you to get even more creative. Use all that gelatinous mass our heads are filled with," A wry smile curled onto her lips, and she paused, leaning forward on her elbows to peer at Salem directly. "Tell you what. Tell me what you've tried already, and maybe we can brainstorm something new. What do you say?"
