Karen ends up being Frank's "after."
It's the way Frank compares his feelings for Karen to David's feelings for his wife, yet people say he views Karen as a platonic friend, a little sister, or a daughter đ¤
OLK just further proved that "So is Karen" means that Frank views her as his wife/family/someone he's in love with.
I never noticed before, but Karen flinched when Frank yelled at her in the "Gunner" episode. That's why he switched to a more tender tone while insisting that he needed to protect her, which ended with him kissing her cheek.
frank letting himself smile and joke with karen in 1x05. his soft lil âheyâ when he walks over to her.
them arguing like usual over her safety and the both of them being stupid, but he leans in and kisses her cheek.
he knows he canât say it, so he tries his best to show her how he feels.
When Karen had Frank at gunpoint and he put his hands on his head, it struck me how easily he was willing to become vulnerable to appease her. I'm sure he could have charged at her, knocked the gun from her hands, and forced her to listen, but he chose to submit and make himself vulnerable and somewhat defenseless in order to reach her and get her to believe him.
That's a level of vulnerability that Frank doesn't gift to many people.
the day when frank lets karen take care of him will be the day everything in me heals
every time lewis turns his head to look at the cops in the hallway, frank keeps inching closer to karen. like he was trying so hard to get to her.
and then in the kitchen he does it again.
he keeps moving forward just an inch, like if he gets closer, itâll change something âšď¸
My random hot take/rant of the day:
Odysseus in Epic The Musical is Frank Castle in another universe. You gonna tell me that a man who adores his family more than anything, kills for them without second thought, would never cheat on or disrespect his wife, goes away for years to war and misses his family the whole time but is changed by it and won't ever completely fit in back home, is both so strong and hard and rough and so soft and sweet and kinda pathetic sometimes, is NOT Frank Castle? The only difference between the two is that Odysseus' family is alive and he doesn't have a daughter. Oh, and the whole Greek gods part. And Odysseus actually gets a happy ending while Marvel just tortures Frank for all eternity.
Nothing will ever stop me from thinking of Frank during the Odysseus song and of Frank and Karen during both No Longer You and Would You Fall In Love with Me Again. I will die on this niche hill.
Spot the difference: There freaking isn't one.
Just thinking about how Kastle's first hug was probably the first time Frank's held someone like that since his wife.
The way Brand New Day is gonna be the first MCU project where Frank Castle appears without Karen Page. She's now an integral part of his world and it should stay that way
That brakes me
I really need there to be some Kastle crumbs in Spiderman: Brand New Day.
If I had a nickel for every time someone made the mistake of killing a dog in New York only for them to be offed by someone who was especially skilled in killing...I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.
âabandonment issues girl x devoted til death boyâ trope my beloved
Okay no wait I just had a galaxy brain thought
The string that originally connected Frank Castle and Karen Page wasn't necessary a red string of fate, but it got so stained with blood that it turned into a red string of fate (or of circumstance, I guess)
Frank loves Karen so much he canât even sustain a hallucination of her that is hateful towards him. he sees her as so forgiving, so safeâshe stops screaming and speaks to him, hears him, and hugs him. she has always been there at his lowest and seen him as human and loved him back.
and he sees her wearing the same clothing as his wife
she knew what I was. she loved me anyway.
