His suit was still in pristine condition and the body was long gone so there was nothing he had to fear, anyways. Turning the corner, he narrowly avoided running into another person. “ Wow – in a hurry?” He asked with an innocent smile.

     something was clearly up. that look was one of familiarity, and it only brought forth a grin from jasper as he tilted his head to the side, curiously eyeing gabriel. “not quite. seems you might be, though,” he teased lightly. “i’m thinking you got up to something, but that might just be me. unless you want to share with the class.”

     glancing around, it was clear to jasper that he was far out of his comfort zone. this was nothing like home, nothing like the celebrations that they held for halloween. at least there they could be free, not have a worry of judgement and trying to be too proper. “how are you feeling about this, dad?? feels... weird.”

     “never one to turn down some friendly competition.” even though he had yet to do anything like this. but at least the two of them were on fair terms with that. holding out one of the sleds to her, he nodded towards a nearby hill. “guess we should get going, then. curious to see who comes out on top.”

         her more playful side seems to want to appear when he’s around  ,   dark haired girl bending down to pack a ball of snow  .   she may be a girl of the underworld  ,   BUT  -  well  ,   a girl doesn’t grow up around a  three headed dog  without taking it out into the snow to play fetch with  ENDLESS  snowballs  .   citlalli packs it  ,   squinting as she aimed for the back of his head and  -  SMACK !     “  you ever had a  SNOWBALL  fight  ,   skellington ?  ”  

     oh, shit. that was cold. why his father had any sort of OBSESSION with this stuff was beyond him. it was more miserable than anything else. having a human body allowed him to feel things a lot more than when he’d been dead. part of him would have much preferred not feeling the cold if that option had been available to him. turning out, bright SMILE graces his lips, unable to stop the laughter that spills from him. “can’t say i have. we don’t really get snow back home.”

Kiki was trying to get a picture of herself with all the snow for her social media but she was currently struggling at the moment trying to find the perfect angle. She blamed herself for not having longer arms but it’s not like she could change that. She saw someone walking by and called out to them. “Hey you! Are you busy or anything? I need your help with something.”

     pausing in his steps when he heard the voice, jasper turned his head. more out of curiosity than anything else. “uh -- not really, no,” came the response. he turned from the direction that he’d been going in, making his way towards her. “what sort of help do you need, exactly??”

      his sister’s flightiness was nothing new. eventually he had grown more USED to it over the years, understood better when to just leave her alone. still, that doesn’t mean he won’t try every once and a while to just talk to her. try to be a good, supportive brother. sliding into the booth, gaze studies her carefully before offering up a small smile. “we don’t have to TALK if you don’t want to. just wanted to see my little sister. hell, if you just want to keep reading i’m not going to stop you.”

“My mom says you get can get used to anything,” Ally said quietly, looking out the window at the crystals forming on the glass. “Even chaos I suppose.” She pressed her finger to the little white crystals and drew a mushroom. Wonderland was chaos to most, but Ally knew it better than even Auradon. Even there they had rules, order–just a different sort from the “normal” realms. But Auradon was beginning to become far worse that Wonderland ever was. “I hope King Ben figures it out.” 

    “seems a bit more glass half full than what i usually see.” he’d always been more of a pessimist by nature. hardly his fault given the circumstances for it all. “chaos can certainly be enjoyable. controlled chaos, at the very least. i’m more used to that than anything else.” that tended to be the nature of halloween town more than anything. “think he can no one seems to have an idea what happened.”

‘you look like you could use a friend.’ / Charlie

     maybe there was some truth to that statement. ever since coming to this place, things had been mostly stressful. trying to keep his family safe by doing things jasper knew he shouldn’t be. trying to understand this place when halloween town was all he knew. try as he might, it was easier to feel like an outsider than anything else. “i just -- yeah, i think i could.” shoulders slump as the words come out. “i don’t know what i’m doing half the time these days. this place makes no sense to me.”

    “care to have a bit of fun?? i heard something about this sledding thing. briefly, but it sounded fun.” and nothing that he’d ever had the chance to do before. “thought i might give it a shot but i’m not sure where to start.”

     “i might not be from around here but even i know this can’t be right.” seasons were more than a little different for the skellington. he was used to it being fall all year long back in halloween town. before coming to auradon, he’d never personally seen winter before. only ever heard the tales from his father. “how does this sort of thing happen??”

    “what exactly is it that draws people towards neverland??” it had been a beautiful, stunning place. not exactly jasper’s scene, and perhaps that was why he was unable to see the appeal of wanting to stay there forever. he’d grown so used to halloween town. really, that was all he knew without the memories from his previous life. “i know there has to be something that i can’t really see.”

“It’s crazy isn’t it? What’s going on?” She wondered aloud. Jasper, from Halloweentown might understand. As someone from Wonderland she felt a little experienced in the world turning upside down. But Halloweentown might not be like that. “Every few weeks it seems to be something different. If not a carnival or festival it’s a murder or an ice storm.”

     this place was turning out to be a lot more curious that he had been expecting. odd, iven that jasper wasn’t used to any of their customs or what was considered normal in this place. not that he had any interest in being normal. that was just boring. “seems so. we had some crazy stuff back home but i didn’t expect any of this here. thought it would be more quiet.”

“Do they get snow in Halloweentown?” Evie asked politely, looking out at the winter wonderland outside. The cafe was packed with people trying to escape the snow in their spring clothes, Evie among them. She wondered if she should call Mal and ask for Ben to send her a car to pick her up. Or maybe Amaris might have a solution. Still, she didn’t want to have to depend on her friends even if they’d be happy to help. 

     “i’ve heard it happened once, thanks to sandy claws. guess he did it as a gesture of forgiveness after what my dad did. but i’ve never seen it myself. not until now, at least.” jasper had only ever heard the stories his dad told about christmas town. it sounded like a magical place, though he knew his mother had been worried about the obsession whenever it had occurred. “is this not typical here in auradon?? different seasons aren’t something i’m used to.”

       unfortunately she had a point. this place was the complete opposite of what he was used to. absolutely terrible, really. “my kind of fun probably won’t happen around here. but i’m sure we can get up to some mischief. bet we can mess with a few people.”

“Definitely the festival, but it’s more than just that,” Johanna murmured, drifting forward in an almost dream like state. It was like she was running on autopilot, her mind driving her forward without truly knowing where she was going. Yet somehow, she knew exactly when to stop, eyes going a bit wide as shock and recognition struck. “Jasper, I think I’ve been to Neverland before. No-” she shook her head. “No, I know I’ve been here before. I can feel it. Something bad happened here.”

        frowning in concern, jasper made sure to keep close, uncertain of the state that she was in right now. he has absolutely no idea what has suddenly come over here, or why memories are being triggered at this moment. nothing had seemed to do that for him since arriving in auradon. “jo, hey. tell me more about it. can you remember anything more than just something bad?? there has to be a reason you’re remembering something now.”

            an immediate smile finds its way to his lips at the sight of her. he’d been hoping to find her around this too CHEERFUL and bright environment. really, this was far from jasper’s take on fun. he much preferred dark and gloomy to anything else. “could say the same for yourself.” smile only grows as he makes his way closer, hands settling on either side of her. “looks like you found something to keep you entertained for the time being. but i’ll gladly replace those bubbles if you’d LIKE.”
