* under the cut is a little about my two muses, i hope that you see some potential for us to get some plots going.

. ˚ ◝ lilia buckingham. fifteen. cisfemale + she/her. that’s monday ‘em’ davis they’re a human that’s been living in warren valley for fifteen years as a student. during that time they built quite the reputation for being compassionate + honest but also aggressive + cynical. i heard that their favorite scary movie is the conjuring. as curated by eleanor. 20. she/her. bst.

one thing that this girl will make completely clear that she hates her name. it was all well and good until she actually started learning the days of the week and was very confused about why she was one of them. her parents, as dull as they sound, named her after the day she was born, inspired by the addams family. don’t ask her why they did this because she actually doesn’t know. perhaps it was just because they were very middle class and could get away with it.

as she grew older and got more of an understanding around her, she started going around adopting the name ‘em’ ; people would always assume that her name was emily or emma and that set well with her. 

it was even more strange when she learned of the curse of the town. her name was an inconvenience but as it’s inspired by the addams family and wednesday, it makes her feel very uncomfortable. everyone seems to hate mondays and she thinks that it’s a sign that something bad is going to happen to her in the future. 

em has always been a confident individual and growing up in this town didn’t make a difference. she’s a natural born sceptic and has the potential to frequently flirt with danger (classic moronic gryffindor). she does push boundaries in warren valley as she talks to people who she really shouldn’t and does disobey them at every given opportunity; it is always about control with her. 

because of this, she doesn’t have the best attitude in the world and considering that she’s a teenager, she sounds like a grumpy old man for most parts. she doesn’t acknowledge her age and thinks she has everything figured out when it’s evident that she doesn’t.

despite not being spoiled and still having an attitude that stinks, she fancies herself as quite the popular person at school, considers herself as an it girl. of course, this isn’t true. she does put up a tough front but she shows a lot of compassion and her denial about the time does come from the fact that she wants people she cares about and herself to be safe.

em is a fight or flight type of person but her default mode is definitely fight. she’s very intense and it doesn’t take people long to figure out that she goes from 1 to 1000 in 0.2 seconds. she is so desperate to be right but at the end of the day, she’s just cynical and bound to rain on your parade at some point.

she pretends to be into absolutely everything but this mainly goes for pop music to go with her image. she actually loves rock/heavy metal but it doesn’t fit with her image. she was put in music classes as a kid and was in choirs because her family value classical music so it’s definitely not something she has been brought up on. 

catch her talking to the dangerous creatures in warren valley because this girl literally talks to everyone and is always running her mouth in one way or the other. she doesn’t think before she speaks and one day it’s going to cost her

she’s still a wip but that’s all i have on her for now. 

POTENTIAL CONNECTIONS:

enemies: whether that be at school or just the fact she’s pissed off your muse at some point, this would be the connection!

mentor: someone that can look past her exterior and see just’s just a girl that needs a helping hand in her life. also someone acting as a protector would be cool as she’s a very sceptical person so probably gets into trouble a lot with supernatural beings.

unlikely supernatural being friend: i think it’d be amusing to have an unlikely friendship with a supernatural being. imagine her ranting how she doesn’t believe any of it and them just toying with her but em being completely oblivious.

the rest of the supernatural beings: they would find her insufferable.

now for mallory, your residential ol’ ghoul.

. ˚ ◝  constance zimmer. six hundred and two. cisfemale + she/her. that’s mallory morte they’re a ghoul that’s been living in warren valley for ten years as a pawn shop owner. during that time they built quite the reputation for being regal + insightful but also ill-tempered + manipulative. i heard that their favorite scary movie is the shining. as curated by eleanor. 20. she/her. bst.

mallory is exactly what you would expect from a ghoul and she’s a good one at that (it’s why she’s still going, to be honest).

raised a ghoul and forever a ghoul, she had no need for someone to look out for her or to take care of her. even when she was younger, she had a strong killer instinct and was always able to see the window of opportunity. of course she had mentors, people close to her to teach her how to clean up after herself but it was never any of her concern. from a young age, she had the senses to be become someone the community looked up to, someone to worship.

she’s an observer, always has been. she has no problem trailing imminent death and she’s actually very pragmatic about it. she knows that acting quickly is always the way to stay hidden and she has no problem hiding in the shadows; both figuratively and literally. mallory is very shifty. catch her lurking somewhere. it always looks like she’s up to something but honestly, she’s just dedicated to theatrics. 

mallory has always enjoyed the hunt, there’s no question about it as she has opportunities to throw in some theatrics here and there but does just settle these days for getting her food in the easiest possible way. she has no ties, is very much a loner and prefers it this way. 

she does like to talk and is very skilled at it. her presence is regal, nothing like a monster should be but she prides herself on a smart appearance and feigned expressions

she is a spirit, one that moves swiftly once the opportunity is presented. for image sake, think of the final plague of egypt from the book of exodus, the story of the passover. instead of killing off, the majority of the time she hears the last breath, sneaks in and gets her feed. however, this doesn’t mean that she doesn’t enjoy the hunt now and again; her dramatics will never fully leave her.

the ghoul is proud of how she conducts herself and the pawn shop she owns is her little hommage to herself. the majority of her stock is the belongings of dead people that she’s either preyed on or eaten after death. i said she was a pragmatist but she takes it to a whole new level. cheap prices but she makes a profit off of something (it was free) ; let’s just hope that you don’t see a bracelet you bought for your dead relative in there. mallory is all about recycling and she loves it. what she does is dark, not only does she prey on the dead but she robs their body first; that’s just the type of sensible ghoul that she is !!

POTENTIAL CONNECTIONS:

mentor: someone, preferably younger, who looks up to mallory but doesn’t know she’s a ghoul. they get on surprisingly well and she’s very confused by this.

unlikely best friends: a platonic connection similar to the one above but this person would know that she’s a ghoul. their dynamic would be ‘will they / won’t they be able to break mallory from her vicious ways’. probably not but we love a good platonic love story between a deemed monster and an aware but sweet individual

workers: people who work at the pawn shop ( these can be both supernatural beings and humans)

family of the deceased: it would be very interesting to see some family members of her victims around, especially when they stumble into her pawn shop and find an item that belonged to them... she’d have a lot of explaining to do.

a confidant: this person would have her trust and they would most likely work together and lurk around the neighbourhood in the shadows.
