So, I decided to actually watch the extended version of the āFree Hugs Projectā video in which these gifs were captured, during my lunch and I now want to bleach my eyeballs now. Ā Thereās nothing worse than watching/listening to both Trump supporters and Bernie protesters congregate in the same space.
TheĀ āwhite is betterā screaming idiot featured above does actually shriek, āblack is good, black is good! white is better, white is better!ā Ā Itās hard to tell what she actually is trying to convey because she is screaming all kinds of stupid color references to āgreenā as in money and red for whatever reason. Ā Iām not sure if she was making a racial statement that whites are better than blacks, but either way sheās a moron nonetheless.
Next the āFree Hugsā guy (weāll call him FHG) attempts to get a series of Trump supporters to hug him. Ā Despite what Mic.com wrote in the article, some of them do take him up on his hug offer.
In fact, the entireĀ last part of the video is dedicated to him going intoĀ āTrump Zoneā where he gets numerous hugs and group hugs.
Including that original shrill Trump supporter from above.
Others are understandably not interested and kindly decline. Ā Some others, not gifād above, gave handshakes instead.
One Trump supporter asks FHG point-blank who he is supporting/voting for President, which FHG evades the question. Ā Youāll find out why later.
The one protester above who saysĀ āthere is hate but there are bigger problemsā followed up withĀ āā¦because compared to other countries, the hate and bigotry that we have is very low compared to other countries. Ā Thatās just the nature of some people - itās always going to exist.ā Heās not necessarily wrong. Ā Funny enough though, during this exchange, a third Trump supporter correctly pointed out that the Democrat Party was the party that created the KKK, seceded, created the Confederacy, and didnāt want civil rights bill to be passed. Ā I wonder why that wasnāt made into a gif, @micdotcomā?
TheĀ āI donāt want any drugsā guy isā¦well, quite hysterical. Ā He clearly did not hear the question and the outcome was hilarious. Ā Of course, a gif with no sounds may be misinterpreted by some passing by idiot that reads Mic.com as actually legitimate news.
Mic.com left out this protester too:
Guess he doesnāt fit their narrative that all Trump supporters are racists.
Despite theĀ āFree Hug Projectā supposedly being about joining together and spreading the love, the video shows a lot of discourse between Trump supporters and Bernie protesters. Ā One lady even asked FHG why he isnāt over spreading the love to the Bernie protest mob chantingĀ ākill Trump.ā
We never find out if theĀ āIāll punch you ladyā above hugs FHG because they edit her out, but her scuzzy friend does hug him slightly off-camera. Ā She does later high-five FHG.
The video ends with FHG chantingĀ āthank youā with appears to be nothing but anti-Trump protesters. Ā Hmmā¦Iām starting to see why so many Trump supporters were not warming up to this activist.
Unfortunately, the Free Hugs Project has conveniently not released the extended footage from the March Bernie Sanders rally which they pleasantly edited in to spin a positive image of Bernie supporters opposed to the cherry-picked Trump supporters. Ā Also, there was very little footage of the Bernie protesters outside the Trump rally. Ā They did show a video of a crying protester at the onset who was upset because she did not understand why the private Trump rally was not allowing Bernie Sanders supporters in. Ā Iām serious.
So, what have we learned? Ā Well, that Free Hugs Project is obviously supporting Bernie Sanders and that Mic.com has zero credibility when it comes to journalist integrity.
