Hi! So, uh, I love your art a lot. Like a lot. I’m not currently caught up on the comics for Bloodymary, so ignore this if you’ve already done it. Simon thinking Ryland is an angel. It’s a topic I’ve seen in many fics, y’know, the whole waking up in a sterile white bright environment with a blond man w blue eyes looming over you, after almost dying. It’s a topic I would love to see explored.

Edge of Sleep Headcanons: Dave Sleeping with a Partner

These headcanons can be for an Edge of Sleep AU or post story. Special thanks to my favorite frog @calphalon for brainstorming with me.

When Dave is able to sleep properly and have medication, Dave loves to cuddle with his partner. He needs that physical touch to help him sleep. He prefers to sleep facing his partner, with their arms wrapping around him. If Dave and his partner are spooning, he would prefer to be the little spoon.

Dave likes to bury his face into his partner’s neck when sleeping sometimes. When he wakes up, he’ll give it a few sleepy kisses and whisper a good morning to them. 

If his partner is away, Dave cuddles with their pillow and sleeps on their side of the bed. If he they are gone for a longer period of time, he’ll even wear something of his partner’s to sleep in. If he can’t, he might put a shirt of theirs on the pillow. 

Dave loves to rest his head in his partner’s lap. He loves the feeling of having his hair played with as he nuzzles his face into their stomach. Sometimes he’ll doze off, turning the hang out into a nap session.
