Damn….it’s been a whole year since I last posted a headcanon…Crazy, I usually scroll on this app and barely post anything. So here it is Headcanons for my favorite Genshin Impact ship(I played the game during 2021 and stopped since then but still love the characters).
They first met whenever the Fatui Harbingers were on a diplomatic visit to Mondstadt. To Jeans surprise despite the rumors and stories about the “Knave” and her super evil orphanage, where she raises children soldiers to use to expand the Fauti’s army to serve their tyrant Archon and is super evil and those who see her true side go poof(references!!!!!!) in all actuality Jean realized that they’re more similar than they would’ve hope, just opposites on the playing field. Arlecchino on the other hand saw Jean as slightly weak as she’s more naive and willing to trust others easily, giving them second chances and letting herself get used by others(more on that later!) but she respects Jean’s righteous nature no matter how dumb she may think it is and sees Jean as an skilled opponent and annoying hard to take down.
Jean is a yapper in their relationship, I don’t care what anyone says!!! She’s the oldest sister/mother figure to her group of friends, having to juggle taking on the weight and responsibilities of her family name, constantly overworking herself into passing out and develop harmful tendencies when stressed she needs to yap about something once in a while so whenever she’s with Arlecchino she just yaps about Mondstadt, the Knights of Favonius, her friends and family, the fact that her parents divorced left her traumatized because the lost of her sister severely damaged their relationship as they grew older. And Arlecchino will listen to everything she’s saying without uttering a word of complaint. Usually Arlecchino would shut anyone up that talks too much or glare at them menacingly until they get too scared to open their mouth. But with Jean she feels comfort hearing her talk and seeing her speak her mind about issues.
Jean is the more extroverted of the two, yes they’re both introverts but Jean is the one to greet someone and happily smile at others while Arlecchino is neutral and pays no mind to those below her.
Whenever out together obviously people will stare at them, Jean is the one making sure everyone is comfortable and communicating with most of the people around her, while Arlecchino is the one making sure nothing goes wrong with them at least, she could really not give two shits of those other imbeciles. Which means if someone looks at Jean for too long, says something smart behind her back, or the worse wants to harass Jean thinking that Arlecchino doesn’t care about her…..well let’s hope Jean is able to stop her before theirs blood of the streets…..
The children of the House of Hearth love Jean and view her as a mother which sparks the name of the many names they call her such as “Mommy”, “Mommy Jean”, “Mother”. Whenever Jean comes to Fontaine for a diplomatic mission or just a regular visit, the children crowd around her and gives her many treats, gifts, and other things! They make Jean sing and dance with them as Arlecchino and the servants watch from the sidelines, Arlecchino smiling softly as she takes pictures of the moments.
With Lyney, Lynette,and Freminet they love to be around Jean. Lyney shows Jean his various magic tricks, Lynette drinking tea and eating a variety of sweets with Jean enjoying their shared silence, and Freminet shows Jean his collection of things he makes and showing her his diving tricks. A common thing they all share together is cuddling with Jean, though she’s insanely hot she doesn’t move away.
Arlecchino spoils Jean to no end, if she likes something from a store or paper ad Arlecchino will immediately buy it for her despite Jean’s pleas to no waste her money of her, Arlecchino always pays for the meals even when Jean offers to pay for the both of them.
Jean likes to trace Arlecchino’s scars and uses her quill to make decorations and little pieces of art on her skin. Arlecchino bought Jean colored ink so she can color more on her. Once Arlecchino forgot to wash the ink off as she went to address her soldiers and colleagues only for them to snicker and stare at her with looks of shock and confusion. Let’s just say Arlecchino had a long discussion with Jean to at least make sure to draw on her where no one could see it(to this day Pantalone and Childe still tease Arlecchino about this)
Arlecchino likes watching Jean sleep……she will creepily lean over Jean as she sleeps because why not, Jean wakes up and sees Arlecchino’s dark eyes with red x shaped pupils peering over her….
They have matching plushies of each other in their office. Jean has a cute white, black and red bunny with an “x” over its eye holding a miniature version of Arlecchino’s scythe(I think that’s her weapon, correct me if I’m wrong) while Arlecchino has a lion holding Jean’s sword. Best thing yet they’re scented with each other’s perfume!!(Pretend they’re holding weapons and hopefully I won’t get sued😅🫶)
