Tortog Religious History Part 3:
Conism eventually settled into Imperial Conism, as the competing tribes were conquered by the Panoptitogs and assimilated or eradicated by the Contog Empire.
Hircon, the offspring of Falcon and Water, fought Falcon and both became pregnant. Falcon with the Goons and Ursoons, and Hircon with Surcon. Surcon was born and was the first thinking Tog. Surcon, the God of medicine and of learning. Surcon fought Hircon three times.
They both became pregnant from the first fight. Surcon became pregnant with Lexicon, who learned from Surcon, and from the world around him, and wrote of all he learned, and became the god of records and writing. Hircon became pregnant with the first Swampgoon, who he neglected, which galloped into the swamp and became a creature, despite almost being a Tog.
(Swampgoons are close evolutionary relatives of the Tortog species. They are smaller and far less intelligent than Tortogs, but far more intelligent than any other creatures on Togtor. They are often a nuisance creature, but are recognized as "almost people" by the Tortogs.)
They both became pregnant from the second fight. Surcon became pregnant with an unnamed bebe who was born and immediately ran off to fight Hircon, and did not listen to Surcon, and did not listen to Lexicon, and was swiftly slain by Hircon. Hircon became pregnant with Urscon, who he again neglected, but Urscon survived in the wilderness by innate might, and killed a swamp worm with his bare hands, and made the worm's hide his jacket, and made the worm's teeth his discaxe, and killed an ursoon with his discaxe, and made the ursoon's back his shield, and became the god of might.
They both became pregnant from the third fight. Surcon became pregnant with Tog Panopticon, founder of the Panoptitogs. Hircon became pregnant with Flercon, who he again neglected, but he rolled down into a lush mountain valley of bushes filled of fresh fruits and creeks filled with tongue worms, and he became the god of fertility, and of the gentle and bountiful side of nature.
Tog Panopticon was born with Justice in his right eye, and Glory in his left eye. He was raised by Surcon and Lexicon, and listened to their teachings. When he had learned everything he could learn from them, they died, but they left him three eyes of knowledge. Surcon gave him one eye of Learning, but kept the other, to learn of the unknown things beyond death. This is why there are unknown things for the Cult of Surcon to learn and reveal. Lexicon gave him both of his eyes, Knowledge and Skills, and his back to use as his shield, and his leg bone to shaft his discaxe.
Tog Panopticon journeyed away to battle Torcon, who had begun to devour the world again. In the wilderness he met Urscon. They were frightened of each other, and they began to fight, yet despite their great skills in fighting, they did not fight brutally, because they did not need to. This was the first fight ever fought that was not total and brutal, and they became the first friends, and neither became pregnant.
Together, Tog Panopticon and Urscon found Torcon and fought him. They could not kill him fully, but they maimed him severely so he would not be a threat again for a very long time. Tog Panopticon took Torcon's two eyes that see the future and the past.
Tog Panopticon now could see the Past and the Future, and he had all Knowledge and Skills and Learning, and he had Justice and Glory in his eyes, and he could now found civilization. He would now need children and food and land for this, but with his seven eyes he was able to find Flercon. Tog Panopticon came to Flercon's valley and impressed Flercon with his achievements, because Tog Panopticon was already impressed by Flercon's property. Flercon was impressed and became pregnant without fighting, and this was the first time anyone ever became pregnant peacefully. Tog Panopticon did not become pregnant, because Tog Panopticon still had enemies to battle alongside Urscon, and it would be unwise to do battle while pregnant. This was the first time that two equals met and only one got pregnant, because they knew when it was wise or unwise to become so.
Flercon became pregnant with Okbe, the god of fishing and hunting, while Tog Panopticon and Urscon fought Hircon and the God Worms far away into the wilderness. Tog Panopticon visited Flercon often, bringing gifts and trophies. When the fighting was over, and the world was peaceful, Tog Panopticon returned to Flercon, and this time they both became pregnant. Flercon became pregnant with Akbe, the god of farming, and Tog Panopticon became pregnant with Beacon, the god of roads and sailing and travelers.
(Flercon is often depicted holding Akbe and Okbe while sitting in a tree to protect them from the Wevil, the demon of pests and predators, and Wedil, the demon of weeds and blight.
