Feeling a little under the weather today. Though the weather is nice and rainy.

A little pick me up came in @thestickybrand mailer with my newest stickers. I hope to have these listed next week.

It's Mother's Day and it's incredibly hard for me. Losing my mother last summer marks this as my first motherless mother's day. To make matters harder my beautiful kid was super excited to celebrate so I couldn't fully retreat into a void of tears and emptiness.

My kid loves me though and I couldn't be more happy to have her. I'd still love a few days of solitude with some books and paints. But we take what we can get.

In other news I got this listed this week so taking that win!

I'm curled up in my favorite chair wrapped in a warm furry pink blanket this morning. The weather is lightly rainy, cool and dreary. The bird calls echo in the forest. The only thing that could make this better is if this sleepy morning lasted through tonight. I'll enjoy it for however long I have it though.

I've had a bit of a drawing block recently. Either that or it's part of the grief depression cycle blocking me up. I decided to work on some old sketches a bit and try to make them print ready but I can't seem to narrow it down to like a good top two or three. I'm thinking A and I. Maybe C?

Can you help me? Tell me which you'd like to see as a sticker.

I couldn't figure out what to draw tonight and so after letting my kid play with the iPad for quite some time, I decided to just start randomly doodling, and this is what came out of it. I'm not mad at it at all. There were some moments where it looked a little creepy, but I think it turned out pretty well in the end

I'm not sure if I'll actually do a holiday line this season. Right now I'm just trying to keep going and working through my fine motor skills by drawing.

It's been a year since I started designing stickers. In January it will be a year for the shop itself being open.

When I started down this path a year ago I didn't set many goals. Or any really. I just wanted to produce something from all the art that had been pouring out of me for years.

This last year has been difficult personally. i suffered a ruptured disc that causes me excruciating pain and temporary lost use of my dominant arm. I'm still battling this pain.

I lost my mother after a six year battle with cancer. It's only been a few months but melancholy has become my new companion, one that I actually yearn for at times as it feels like home now in place of my mom.

The holidays coming up are hard. The "firsts" without someone are difficult.

But this numb little place I've been throughout this year had really helped to push me to create art and to not put down the little things. While I want to focus on art prints next year, this year my stickers are exactly what I needed.

It's been so nice getting all the wonderful support and kind words from people. Knowing that other enjoy my art and stick it on things they see everyday makes me really happy.

I need to set some goals for next year. And as fall and winter settle in it will be a good time for personal and business introspection.

21 days until Halloween 🎃

I can't decide which of these I like the most. Hoping to get some input from people. I'm leaning towards the first one, red on red.

So these turned out different from how I made them but they are growing on me.

The original design was very bright green and pink. The printer said they could only do glow in the dark with no color. Which may be true for them but other printers have done it for me before. Oh well. This was my first time trying this printer out and they weren't horrible. But their limitations and long production time has kinda confirmed I won't be using them in the future
