Inktober day one! This is my very first year participating in this event, and I’m super excited to see what’s going to happen!
For my first Inking, I thought I’d draw my Typhlosion from my playthrough of Pokémon Heart Gold. It won’t be all Pokémon, I promise, but I couldn’t resist drawing my special little boy.
Anybody out there that knows anything about Hawaiian culture/things people in Hawaii do/don't do that I could use in my fanfiction? I want to include some stuff to accurately represent the lifestyle :)

SU theory for the new bomb(spoilers if you haven’t seen SU: Wanted yet)
HOOOO BOY - Steven actually went to Homeworld?? We met some new gems!??! Lars freaking died and came back to life through Steven’s tears and then became someone like Lion!!!??? Least to say, the fandom is going crazy with theories - I have a ton myself, and I’m still trying to piece everything together. For now, though, I’d like to talk about the Diamonds in “The Trial” episode.
First off, let’s counter a theory that seems to be spreading quite fast; Yellow Diamond did not, I repeat did not, shatter or help in shattering Pink Diamond. In order to truly understand why she acted the way she did in the court, let’s talk about Yellow Diamond herself. Yellow is a workaholic tyrant leader, a woman who focuses on expanding her colony and utilizing everything that is useful. She hates wasting her time when she could be doing something much more productive, and gets rid of anything that is useless. So, if you take things from her perspective, why would she waste her precious time on a stupid trial where the defendant is very, very obviously guilty, and where literally everyone except Blue Zircon and Blue Diamond are convinced Rose is “guilty” (Including Steven himself!). Ultimately, if the trial had already been decided, why are they arguing back and forth about nonsense? She just wants to get out of there and utilize her time as soon as possible, prove Rose Quartz guilty, and move on from Pink Diamond and the depressing emotional baggage attached with her. As far as the Diamonds know, Earth will be gone soon enough, and to get rid of Rose would be to get rid of anything that could stand in her way of forgetting. She doesn’t have to ever visit the Zoo, or even that part of the galaxy personally, so Rose would be the last living reason to remember her dead Pink.
Plus, look at the way she reacts when Zircon accuses one of the Diamonds of shattering Pink. She poofs Zircon in just the mere accusation, and in her fit of rage, she poofs the other Zircon for just speaking.
If you look at some screenshots from the case as Zircon argues the death of Pink, she doesn’t look guilty! Really, she just looks angry, annoyed, and a bit confused more than guilty or nervous. She’s tired of the case, she’s tired of Rose, and she just wants to bury herself in work to forget the shattering ever happened. Which leads to the question...why was she there in the first place if it was such a waste of time? Well, because of Blue.
Blue would be satisfied. It’s obvious that Blue and Yellow are closer to each other than to White Diamond, so whatever relationship they having going on between them (friends, sisters, lovers even) shows that they care about one another in some loving way. If “Rose” is found guilty, Blue will be happy that she found and killed Pink’s killer, and they won’t have to go on any crazy, “time-wasting” adventures to find her before earth explodes (as far as they know). But, yet another question rises; if Blue knows Rose shattered Pink Diamond, why does she want a “fair trial”?
She wants to know. She wants to understand why and how her beloved Pink Diamond was killed. Rose murdered someone very, very important to her, and she seems to be completely in the dark about how it even happened. Like Zircon said, nothing about her shattering makes any sense whatsoever - it’s even confirmed that she doesn’t know, she outright says it!
“The question no one seems to be asking is...how,” Zircon says, and is responded with Blue Diamond saying, defensive-like and almost hurt,
“I’ve been asking that question.”
She needs to prove it was Rose who did it, she needs to know how a puny gem such as a Rose Quartz shattered a diamond. For a being who always has everything at the tips of her fingers, the top of the social hierarchy, and none of the gems being able to tell her how it really happened - with even “Rose Quartz”, the one who committed the crime, being so completely vague about it! She wanted a trial to clear things up once and for all, to prove Rose shattered her, and to finally get justice on the murderer of whoever killed her precious Pink. She probably begged Yellow to come with her (why she wanted Yellow to be there is a reason I could debate for a long while, but my best guess is she just didn’t want to be alone for this) and set up the trial in hopes to find answers. Instead, now she’s probably even more confused - but what can she do about it? Nothing. Nothing either of them can do will bring Pink back, since they don’t even have the shards. They’re doing what anyone else would do if their loved one was lost and they never got anything more than a vague witness description; they just want to know what happened. The only person who can truly answer their question is gone - and left Steven to clean the whole thing up.
