Its nice to be corporeal by which i mean having a physical form with which to interact with the world around you but i will not lie to you there are problems associated
they’re taking our fuckig hags from us dude. we have to protect our crones. i’m so serious
Watching TikTok try and rewrite fandom history by saying fandom culture was created by teenage girls makes me eye twitch to an extent I’ve never felt it twitch before. The middle aged women printing out Spirk erotica to share with each other in the 1900s did not die for this!!!! How dare you erase our important historic moments!!! You would be nowhere without the 30 year old women who dedicated their free time to making these spaces happen. Put some respect on their names!!!!
Things I've Learned: part 3
- If you hear a whistle in the woods; no you don't. Don't follow it. Don't find it. Certainly, don't whistle back.
- In the forest a knock or a scream are also never what they seem.
- Don’t stare too deeply into the woods; especially as the sun sets and the shadows aren't the only thing to grow longer and cover ground.
- Stairs in the woods never lead where, or when, they should. What you pay for passage won't be something you wish to part with.
- Never say you own name in a dream; if you're so aware it's more than it seems.
- If you see it don’t aknowledge it. Carry on if you wish to carry on.
- Vampirism doesn't apply only to living things
- Shadows tend to hold more than the absence of light
- Gaps and Tunnels are liminal places; never seek more than the other side for your own sake
Things I've Learned: part 2
- when walking at night face forward and keep your eyes on the path
- its impossible to see strangers in your dreams. remember this fact.
- sage does little but irritate if the windows and doors are closed
- sudden chills are never random
- rotten food left to keep spoiling evokes rotten luck
- when watching the winds shift be sure not to be shifted along by them
- always repay in kind
- plants die for a reason, sometimes that reason has nothing to do with how well you care for them and everything to do with how they care for you
- always acknowledge the flickering at the edge of your vision, annoying as they may be
- always, always check your blind spots
- always be courteous to your hosts or the consequences could be dire down the road
Things I’ve Learned
- don’t drink water in the dark
- don’t look out windows at night
- if you feel it watching don’t look for it just hurry on your way, but to be safe if you feel running for some reason would insult This One then don’t
- take only dead wood from forests, fallen berries and flowers are safe too, the living things are Not For You
- NEVER stomp on the mushrooms
- stay on the animal paths
- leave an offering in the woods to be left in peace during your walks
- the hills and fields may seem open and empty but They Never Are
- listening to the wind is fine but you should never reply to it, if you feel it shift it’s time to go
- if your dog won’t go near it neither should you
- if It’s in your room then shut your eyes or otherwise don’t acknowledge It, It will eventually lose interest
- ghosts can and will lie to you
- don’t give anything your full name
- if you feel weak, don’t rest - leave
- your shadow doesn’t always belong to you
- check your seats before entering your vehicle, do not look back for ANYTHING after
- better yet keep things in your seats
- generally if you suddenly feel you shouldn’t look in a certain direction, be in a certain place, or do a certain thing then please trust your gut
