Erin glanced up at Gianna, smiling a little. âI guess I just like trying to do things on my own.â She murmured, taking a sip from her drink. âI was living with Raf, but⊠I donât think itâs gonna work out.â
âDonât fear the hand that tries to help, cuz. Fear the teeth behind it,â she answered, lifting her drink, the ice swirling in her glass. âWhy not?â
audreyjxmes:
âYeah, that sounds like a good plan. I just donât really see myself as a killer Iâll leave it to the professionals.â
âThen it isnât a problem if Hank kills him or not.â

A soft laugh escaped Willowâs lips, eyes on the other woman as she moved closer. It felt good to laugh. To joke. With a delicate breath she blew on her hands, rubbing them together to warm them in an exaggerated show of professionalism. Willowâs fingers rested gently on the womanâs neck. âDefinitely alive,â she smiled coyly, âthough I am worried about that low heart rate.âÂ
Gianna smiled as she inched closer towards the woman. âAny recommendations on how to get my heart rate up?âÂ
joshuabreckinridge:
âI didnât even get to dance.. it really could have happened later that evening..â
âWhat, not enough dancing on the job? Tell you what, Old Man. You can dance for me,â she joked.

Willow sat at the bar, glass of whiskey before her. She seldom drank, but after the week sheâd had, she needed one. âI swear itâs been months since Iâve seen natural sunlight, yet alone worn anything other than scrubs.â Her eyes watched the text scroll across the silent television overhead, something about yet another murder. âSometimes I wonder why I even bother trying to keep up with this Castle/Montgomery war. Is anyone in either family still alive?!â
Gianna placed two fingers on her neck. âStill have a pulse, but youâre the doc here,â she assumed, moving two seats over. âYou tell me. In your professional opinion.â

Erin had been scrolling through her phone, looking at apartment listings. âWhy are apartments so expensive?â She sighed, sitting down on one of the bar stools at Ephesus.
âYouâre a Monty, Cuz,â Gianna answered, slipping into the stool beside her. âAll youâve got to do is ask.â
âWell.. now I hope this party will be more of a treat than the last ones..â
âEveryone keeps saying that. I personally had a blast.â

âDonât get me wrong, Iâd love nothing more than to see Reed put ten feet underground. I just donât want Mr. Selleck to be the one to do it.â
âIn that case, if heâs still alive, nowâs the perfect time to do it, isnât it? While heâs weak."
ââŠ.Vince?â There he was, her savior. An uncle who took the title of head of the family had managed to do something not for his empire, but for the âfamilyâ he saw himself as in charge of. Gigi spoke of how Vince found her, something that her sister was unsure of herself, but for once Stefanie did not care how she was found. Her eyes shut at the mention of the video before she turned on to her back and then on to her opposite side. Stefanie had turned her back to her sister because it was easier for her. Her hands rubbed against her arms  slow at first before the movement increased. She had created friction to be rid of that personâs restraints. If she could burn away the mental image maybe it would no longer be real.Â
Faster and harder; harder and faster. She had done it before to her knuckles. Forced them down and then back up against the wall. The sting of pain before the blood started. The sting kept her awake as best as it could. The images she saw had more strength than any Montgomery or Castle that wanted to prove themselves. Castle and Montgomery names would never hold as much power as the hallucinations brought on by the morphine.Â
She could still smell the blood that coaxed her hands each time she looked down at them. She could still feel how cold his arms were before he let go. How stiff his hand was when she tried to make him stay. How her legs ached when she ran after him. The pain that followed after he head hit the floor. She had wished for it to stop. Begged and pleaded till her throat was dry and the muscles there were so strained she thought she would never speak again.Â
Just like in that hell, her pleads would not be heard. No one saw her pain she carried around with her. They all saw shading in the light and called it her shadow.Â
Something in her broke when Stefanie turned. Failure. Gianna inhaled deeply, her palm pressed against her cheek, wiping away the tears that fell as she tried to gather herself. What else were her hands good for if she could not save Stefanie? Failure. What good was her wit when Vince was able to outdo her in a single day, whereas it took her a near thirty? Failure. She couldnât save Stefanie. She couldnât even tell when her father was ill and dying. She could do nothing. Failure failure failure.
Gianna rose to her feet. She reached her hand out, to touch Stefanieâs shoulder, but couldnât do it. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she heard an officer shouting. âNO TOUCHING.â Gianna retracted her hand, her fingers enveloping into a fist. Stefanie always knew what to say on the other side of the glass wall, or in the visitation room, whenever they were allowed that luxury. Yet when she stood on the other side, watching her sister in pain, every solution seemed inadequate. Still, nothing would not suffice.Â
âIâll leave,â she told her. âYou need some rest,â she went on, her voice soft, though colder than before, like their mother, when Stefanie was a baby, crying as their mother attempted to place her to sleep. She didnât deserve to be there, or to be anywhere near Stefanie, not when she couldnât help her. Her mouth opened once more, though no words fell, just a silence as she grasped for anything she could offer. She could do nothing.Â
âYouâve been through a lot, Stefanie. But youâre strong. And I donât mean because youâre a Montgomery, but despite it,â she told her, the last bit she could offer.Â
Gianna turned towards the door thereafter, deciding that she would be back, but never when Stefanie was awake. She failed her sister and there could be nothing that could forgive that.

âDo you have any suggestions? Because I think I could go all night if needed.â
âOh baby, Iâd love to see you try. Come dance with death if you havenât had enough.â
audreyjxmes:
âWhatâs there to celebrate? I thought we were supposed to have fun, not watch people try to murder each other.â
âNo one died,â she reasoned. âProbably,â she went on, as an afterthought. âYou canât tell me you donât think he deserved it.âÂ
âHas anyone noticed how every time someone throws a party bad shit happens? We should just stop having them and quit trying to fool ourselves into believing weâre even remotely normal to celebrate anything.â
âBad shit? I feel like throwing another one to celebrate the last one.â

Jeremy opened his eyes confused by his surroundings. A woman entered the room seconds after his eyes shot open. Her attire, her demeanor, everything screamed at him what she was but he just couldnât bring himself to find the word. She looked over at some people who were close by, Heâs received extensive damage to his temporal lobe, and that was all he heard as she continued to explain. The boy tried to move his hands, but none would work the way he wished them too, no matter how much he tried to move them, they would only slightly respond.
The nurse explained the medical facts, his condition and how they predicted the next forty-eight hours to play out, though Gianna only heard one thing. Another Montgomery in a hospital bed. She was getting sick of finding her relatives here. âHey Boy Genius,â she said, speaking soft as she placed a vase of roses by his bedside. âYouâre missing out on all the family fun,â she told him as she arranged the flowers. âGood thing half the familyâs decided to relocate here now,â she muttered, speaking more to herself now, still unaware of Jeremyâs opened eyes. âYouâd think itâs barbaric if you heard. But sometimes we have to be.â
cassandra-bennett:
âWell that was indeed an interesting night.â Cassandra laughed some, enjoying the high that she was feeling briefly. Yes, she shouldnât feel this way seeing as Aaron was now in a very dangerous place. But she wanted something else now.
âSo quick to call it a night already? Who says itâs over?âÂ
