GIA SHAKUR Boogie Man Even now I feel you beside me. Not as guide or companion but a bi pedal parasite fashioned of eyes and fists. You rattle in the back of my tongue when I call your name as caution. While I have found alternative routes on my lucid twilight wanderings occasionally we'll cross paths You pull me in with your flimsy limbs then pull yourself up with my arms to stare at me with your watering eyes snotty and bloodshot you reek of molding branches rubber cement shit stain pennies your booming voice now a whisper dying behind my ears. #AllWrite2017

Gia Shakur - SAMPLE size
We live in an era filled with black people tearing down the walls, tired of disrespect and demanding space to freely be black.
Gia Shakur writes in metaphors that make you stop. The poetry wrapped in SAMPLE size is emotion filled from the word-play, case sensitivity of the letters to the demanding tone that gets weary and stays blunt as well as the freedom of a writer. When femininity is unapologetic, fierce, fragile and strong all at once, you are bound to stop.
Beginning with being real with the need of knowing God’s location to unrequited love and the broken barrier of women freely expressing their want for sex just bare as they wish, Gia Shakur stretches words to highly felt vibrations of the unexperienced. Shakur’s words leave behind a foreign taste in one’s mouth, the lovely kind. A scent created by the exceptional descriptions and expressions. Gia Shakur knows the need to pay attention to the youth because the future depends on them.
SAMPLE size is the voice of the liberals. The voice for liberals. The angry black women. The men without fragile masculinity. The woke artsy teenagers. The blood shed under a tree in Mississippi. Love. The voice of lust that knows love. Addicton.
Gia Shakur fearlessly narrates how bloody being poor gets and somehow going on with life just like that, life in the runner up’s shoes through the eyes of a whole and untamed lover of rigid feet. SAMPLE size is a well put read, warning, not all souls get this type of bluntness and want more sips from this cup, but I know for sure mine does.
